BMA has delivered over $1 million worth of "NEO" products, bolstering the BKK Food Bank project, helping vulnerable groups throughout the city.
Mr. Shachchan, Governor of Bangkok, is the Chairman of the Consumer Product Delivery from Mrs. Padma Thongsri, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Neo Corporation Public Limited, or NEO, to support the BKK Food Bank project at Neo Corporation Public Limited, Wattana District.
With this support, the company provides over 9,100 products of daily necessities with a total value of over Baht 1 million for Bangkok to distribute to vulnerable groups in all 50 areas, reducing the burden of household expenses and promoting public hygiene.
Governor Shachchan thanked the NEO's support this time, saying that the BKK Food Bank program is an important mechanism for caring for the public, especially vulnerable groups, to have universal access to their necessities through cooperation from all sectors, serving as an intermediary for the help of the resource-poor to the needy.
There are two forms of BKK Food Bank operation: 1. Food Surplus is received from convenience stores or food operators. Direct to vulnerable groups. 2. Establishment of BKK Food Bank. Collect and store dry food or consumer goods at all 50 district offices. It is available in a mini-mart style. The recipient can choose the necessary items for the relief of living expenses along with creating a sense of value and dignity for the assistance.
