🥧👥 BMA supports the "Full Belly Kitchen," creating new opportunities for the homeless, practical use in agencies first, expanding into society.
Bangkok spokesman Ekwuru Amrapal revealed that Bangkok is supporting the "Full Belly Kitchen" program, one of the ways to create opportunities and improve the quality of life for former homeless siblings, starting with the adoption of products within BMA agencies before expanding them into a wider society.
The program was attended by former homeless people from "Satisfied Homes" who were trained in food by speakers from the Bangkok Career Training School, as well as mentors from the Restart Academy, a social enterprise, to transfer life, work and social coexistence skills to prevent a return to the same problems.
In its initial phase, the BMA adopted products from the "Full Belly Kitchen" at meetings and events within the agency to support income and ensure professional stability for program participants, with all food and drink having successfully passed the cleanliness and safety standards review from the Bangkok Health Bureau.
The products of the "Full Belly Kitchen" are diverse, including Thai desserts such as banana desserts, pumpkin desserts, delicacies, forgetting to swallow, jade mani desserts, boiled desserts, rhombreads, face cakes, sago and crumbs, as well as herbal beverages such as lemon sump juice, kettle juice, okra juice, quince juice, and tea, coffee and other popular beverages, with a starting price of only 50 baht for a set of three desserts with a bottle of herbal juice (turning into tea / coffee, add 5 baht).
Bangkok aims to make the "full stomach kitchen" a model of job creation, income creation and dignity for those who have experienced life problems, using government mechanisms as an early support, before inviting government and private sector agencies to subsidize and expand such opportunities to be sustainable, aiming to invite all sectors to participate in "providing new opportunities," supporting the life of former homeless brothers, to create a society that truly leaves no one behind. In the future, it may expand production to provide snacks for interested people. It can be followed up in detail on the Facebook page, Satisfied House, Social Development Bureau.
