Last Friday morning, I attended the opening of the Hawker Center, Lumbini Park. We got several BMA teams and a network like LINE MAN Wongnai, including Mr. Mac, the assistant secretary who has been following the project since the beginning, and went to see the opening of the Hawker Center from midnight.

For the Hawker Center, Lumbini Park is the third point of activation, after we started the first point near BMA City Hall and the second point under the Plochit Expressway, which was learned from the first point before adjusting to Lumbini Park.

The Hawker Center, or this food court, we've adopted ideas from Singapore, but many of them are adapted to the context of the area.

Like the selection of traders, the BMA chose from the original traders who were organized around the park to have a space to sell and a daily rental fee of only 60 baht. Consumers still have delicious street food at a cost.

The BMA is not just organizing sidewalks, but trying to find a way out, and not just finding space, but managing all the new infrastructure, making roofs, adjusting floors, putting cleanup systems, tidy, hygienic, airy dining zones, three washing points, dumping zones and separating garbage.

Each store has a standard block of 2x2 meters, accommodating more than 110 stores that sell fresh food, dry food, toys, clothes, and reiterates that it is almost all the same traders around the park. Interestingly, many people are excited, even the vendors who have returned to the same place, or the people who have come to see the new place and buy it early in the morning.

Although today we have developed a food court to look better under various constraints, there are still many points that have seen the page and have to be developed. And who has passed through? Let's visit this new standard street food.
