The Office of the Election Commission requests publicity to candidates, political parties, supporters and citizens that the election campaign for the governor of Bangkok, members of the Bangkok Council, the mayor of Pattaya and members of the Pattaya City Council shall cease from 6: 00 pm on Saturday, June 27, 2026, the day before the election day, and the election campaign shall not be conducted by any means until the end of the election day (24: 00 pm) on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
The Election of Local Councillors or Local Administrators Act 2019 and its amendment, Section 70, provide that no one shall advertise an election campaign by any means, you or the penalty of a candidate, from 6: 00 p.m. the day before the election day (June 27, 2026) until the end of the election day (June 28, 2026).
Whoever violates shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding 10,000 baht or both.
The Office of the Election Commission then asked for the cooperation of candidates, political parties, supporters and citizens, strictly abiding by the law, so that the elections would be neat, honest, transparent, impartial and upright.

จากประสบการณ์ในการติดตามการเลือกตั้งหลายครั้ง พบว่าการงดหาเสียงเลือกตั้งตามเวลาที่กฎหมายกำหนด เช่น ตั้งแต่ 18.00 น. ของวันก่อนวันเลือกตั้งจนถึงช่วงสิ้นสุดวันเลือกตั้งนั้น เป็นมาตรการที่สำคัญมากในการรักษาความยุติธรรมและความโปร่งใสของกระบวนการเลือกตั้งจริง ๆ หลายครั้งที่ผู้สมัครหรือนายหน้าหาเสียงอาจใช้ช่องว่างของกฎหมายในการโฆษณาหาเสียงในช่วงเวลาที่ไม่ถูกกฎหมาย ซึ่งอาจทำให้เกิดความได้เปรียบเสียเปรียบกัน ทางสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการเลือกตั้งจึงต้องเข้มงวดอย่างมากในการตรวจสอบและบังคับใช้กฎหมาย เพื่อป้องกันการกระทำเหล่านั้น สำหรับประชาชนทั่วไป การทราบและเคารพกติกานี้จะช่วยให้สามารถร่วมกันรักษาความสุจริตในการเลือกตั้งได้อย่างแท้จริง และยังช่วยป้องกันปัญหาทางกฎหมายที่อาจส่งผลต่อผู้สมัครหรือผู้เกี่ยวข้องหากฝ่าฝืน ในฐานะผู้มีสิทธิ์ออกเสียงเลือกตั้ง ควรตรวจสอบข่าวสารจากแหล่งข้อมูลทางการ เช่น เว็บไซต์สำนักงานคณะกรรมการการเลือกตั้ง และสายด่วน 1444 เพื่อได้รับข้อมูลที่ถูกต้องและทันสมัย รวมถึงแนะนำให้หลีกเลี่ยงการแชร์ข้อมูลหรือโฆษณาที่อาจผิดกฎเพื่อไม่ให้เกิดปัญหาในภายหลัง สุดท้ายนี้ การเลือกตั้งที่บริสุทธิ์ยุติธรรมเป็นรากฐานสำคัญของประชาธิปไตยในประเทศไทย ทุกคนจึงควรตระหนักและให้ความร่วมมือปฏิบัติตามกฎอย่างเคร่งครัด เพื่อให้การเลือกตั้งครั้งนี้เป็นไปอย่างเรียบร้อย โปร่งใส และเป็นกลางอย่างแท้จริง
