Nong Sai Pakrui, a beautiful orchid from the forest of Khao Lam National Park - Mine End Beach
Researcher's version of the secret story...Knowing wild orchids by the National Park Innovation Research and Development Center, Surat Thani Province, it is introduced to another wild orchid, Dendrobium icopis Ridl.
This orchid was explored at Khao Lampi National Park - Mine End Beach, Phang Nga Province, 100 to 200 meters above sea level. It is an orchid based on a living, flourishing on the side. The trunk is raised and curved, up to 60 centimeters long, covered with reddish-brown bracts.
Leaves, leaves, leaves, alternately arranged, inflorescences, leaves leafless stems, about 4-6 flowers per bouquet, stem, inflorescence and core, short inflorescence, dark purple, upper sepals, 0.6x1.4 centimeters, white, scored with purple on the periphery of the petals, shallow notched petals, lower pair of sepals connected to the chin.
Blossom. The blossom chin is a long curved pouch to the front. The tip of the chin is 0.4x1.1 centimeters. The spoon-shaped peal is 0.9x1.5 centimeters. The peal edge is slightly wavy. The peal tip is purple, more obvious than the sepals. The corolla is 1.4x2 centimeters. There is no matte on the side. The peal edge is a short tooth. There are two white tissue plates, about 1.5 millimeters wide, draped longitudinally in the middle of the corolla.
The mouth petals are white, dotted with purple at the base, and the end of the petals, the pollen shaft is dark purple, the lid is white pollen, found in areas of Malaysia and Thailand, found along trees in low-lying rainforest, under shade, flowering in August.

หลายคนที่เริ่มสนใจ “กล้วยไม้ป่า” มักค้นหาคำว่าเอื้องสายมรกต/เอื้องสายนางนวล/เอื้องสายม่วง/เอื้องดอย หรืออยากดู “ดอกเอื้องสีม่วง” ให้ชัด ๆ ว่าต่างกันยังไง ซึ่งเวลาไปเดินป่าหรือเที่ยวอุทยานฯ ฉันใช้หลักง่าย ๆ 3 อย่างช่วยแยกก่อนถ่ายรูปหรือจดบันทึก คือ “ทรงช่อดอก–สีและลวดลาย–สภาพแวดล้อมที่ขึ้น” สำหรับเอื้องสายปากครุย จุดที่สะดุดตาที่สุดคือดอกโทน “ขาวอมม่วง” และเกสร/แกนเส้าเกสรสีม่วงเข้มตัดกัน เวลาเจอช่อที่ห้อยลงจากกิ่งไม้จะดูหวานมาก โดยเฉพาะช่วงมีหยดน้ำเกาะบนกลีบ (หลังฝนหรือเช้า ๆ) จะเห็นรายละเอียดกลีบปากขอบหยักเล็ก ๆ และแต้มม่วงที่ฐานกับปลายกลีบชัดขึ้น ถ้าจะถ่ายให้ได้สีใกล้ตาเห็น แนะนำยืนในร่มเงาแล้วล็อกแสงเล็กน้อย เพราะดอกสีอ่อนเจอแดดจัดจะซีดง่าย ถ้าคุณกำลังสับสนกับคำค้นยอดฮิตอย่าง “เอื้องสายม่วง” หรือ “ดอกเอื้องสีม่วง” ให้สังเกตว่าเอื้องสายปากครุยไม่ได้ม่วงทั้งดอก แต่เป็น “แต้มม่วง” บนพื้นขาว และมักมีโทนม่วงที่ก้านช่อ/แกนช่อดอกด้วย จุดนี้ช่วยแยกจากบางชนิดที่ม่วงเข้มทั้งกลีบหรือมีรูปทรงกลีบปากต่างไปชัดเจน ส่วนคำว่า “เอื้องดอย” โดยมากสื่อถึงเอื้องที่พบในพื้นที่สูง/อากาศเย็น แต่เอื้องสายปากครุยที่รายงานพบในเขาลำปี-หาดท้ายเหมือง จะอยู่ป่าดิบที่ราบต่ำ ความสูงราว 100–200 เมตร และเป็นกล้วยไม้อิงอาศัยตามต้นไม้ในร่มเงา ดังนั้นถ้าเราไปพื้นที่ชายฝั่ง-ป่าราบต่ำของพังงา ช่วงหน้าฝนต่อปลายฝน โอกาสเจอจะสอดคล้องกว่าการไป “ดอย” สูง ๆ อีกอย่างที่ช่วยให้ดูสนุกขึ้นเวลาเจอกล้วยไม้ป่าคือการจด “ช่วงออกดอก” เอื้องสายปากครุยจะออกดอกประมาณเดือนสิงหาคม ถ้าคุณอยากไปล่าภาพให้สวย แนะนำพกเลนส์มาโครหรือใช้โหมดใกล้ ๆ แล้วถ่ายให้เห็นช่อห้อย ดอกขาวอมม่วง และเกสรสีม่วงเข้มเป็นจุดเด่น แต่ขอเน้นเรื่องมารยาทกับธรรมชาติ: ไม่ดึงช่อ ไม่จับดอกแรง ๆ และไม่ปีนต้นไม้ เพราะกล้วยไม้ป่าหลายชนิดบอบบางมาก สุดท้าย ถ้าคุณชอบแนว “เอื้องสายมรกต” หรือ “เอื้องสายนางนวล” ลองใช้วิธีเดียวกันนี้คือดูโทนสีหลัก รูปทรงกลีบปาก และแหล่งอาศัย แล้วค่อยเทียบภาพ/ข้อมูลชนิด จะช่วยให้การดูเอื้องในป่าเป็นระบบขึ้น และสนุกกับการสังเกตความงามแบบธรรมชาติจริง ๆ
