Seven wonders discovered in the Ban Sea National Park
When fully grilled in the face of the rain, hydration fills the forest. All the moss, ferns, lichens, mushrooms, fungi show off. One of the other plants that has been explored has created a fondness for people interested in nature, especially those who remember with photographs.
It is in the genus Thismia, a small flowering plant that relies on myco-heterotrophic fungi to live in, unable to create its own food because it does not have chlorophyll, making its leaves look like small scales. These plants only appear short-term during the rainy season and are difficult to find, linked to the integrity of the forest ecosystem.
Around the world, about 120 species have been found. For Thailand, about 30 species have been found. For the Ban Sea National Park, seven species have been found, both with official names and waiting for names.

ในช่วงฤดูฝนที่อุทยานแห่งชาติทะเลบัน ผมได้มีโอกาสเดินทางสัมผัสกับธรรมชาติและพบเห็นพืชพิศวงหลากชนิดที่ออกดอกให้ชมอย่างจำกัด พืชพิศวงเหล่านี้จัดอยู่ในสกุล Thismia ซึ่งมีลักษณะโดดเด่นคือมีขนาดเล็กและไม่สามารถสร้างอาหารเองเพราะไร้คลอโรฟิลล์ ต้องพึ่งพาเชื้อราในดินเพื่ออยู่อาศัย ความหลากหลายของพืชพิศวงในทะเลบันนั้นน่าประทับใจ เพราะมีการค้นพบถึง 7 ชนิด ทั้งชนิดที่มีชื่อทางการและชนิดที่ยังรอการตั้งชื่ออย่างเป็นทางการ เช่น พืชพิศวงแดงบูโดที่มีสีแดงอมน้ำตาลมีส่วนยื่นยาวสองข้าง หรือพืชพิศวงศรีพังงาซึ่งมีรูปร่างคล้ายหมวกพองามด้วยสีเหลืองอมน้ำตาล ลักษณะเฉพาะตัวเหล่านี้ชวนให้ผมตื่นเต้นทุกครั้งที่ได้เห็น สำหรับผู้ที่รักการถ่ายภาพธรรมชาติ พืชพิศวงจึงเป็นวัตถุที่ท้าทายเพราะดอกออกมาในช่วงสั้นๆ และมีขนาดเล็กมาก การถ่ายภาพต้องใช้ความอดทนและเข้าใจพฤติกรรมของพืชเหล่านี้เพื่อจับช่วงเวลาที่ดีที่สุดในการบันทึกภาพความงามนี้ไว้ การพบพืชพิศวงในพื้นที่นี้ยังสะท้อนว่าระบบนิเวศและความชุ่มชื้นในป่ายังคงสมบูรณ์ดี ส่งผลดีต่อความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพและความงดงามตามธรรมชาติที่ควรรักษาไว้ให้คนรุ่นหลังได้เรียนรู้และชื่นชมต่อไป
