The tillers of the forest.
Hundreds of live plows roar through the forest. They use their strong flexible noses to dig for food hidden under the ground. With their noses containing over 8,000 olfactory sensors, they can find the location of food hidden deep underground, not so hard. Wood roots, worms, insects, earthworms, and carrion. These foods are like rewards. The wild boar's tireless work for centuries.
Excavating the foraging soil of wild boars is tilling the soil in the forest into loam and creating air-tight spaces, allowing seedlings and trees to grow well. It is a relationship between wildlife and trees in natural ecosystems.

ผมเองเคยมีโอกาสไปเยือนเขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าภูเขียวและได้เห็นหมูป่าทำหน้าที่ไถพรวนดินอย่างใกล้ชิด พวกมันขุดหาหากินได้อย่างชาญฉลาดด้วยจมูกที่ไวต่อกลิ่น ซึ่งเป็นประโยชน์อย่างมากต่อระบบนิเวศ เพราะดินที่ถูกขุดขึ้นมาจะช่วยให้อากาศและน้ำซึมเข้าสู่ดินได้ดีขึ้น การไถพรวนของหมูป่าส่งเสริมการเจริญเติบโตของพืชในป่าอย่างต่อเนื่อง ที่สำคัญพวกมันยังช่วยกระจายเมล็ดพันธุ์และซากซากอินทรีย์ต่างๆ ที่อยู่ใต้ดิน ทำให้ป่าเติบโตอย่างแข็งแรงและสมดุลตามธรรมชาติ อีกทั้งยังส่งผลดีต่อสัตว์ชนิดอื่นในบริเวณเดียวกัน การได้เรียนรู้ว่าหมูป่ามีบทบาทเหมือน "ผู้ไถพรวนแห่งผืนป่า" ช่วยให้ผมเห็นว่าการรักษาป่าสมบูรณ์นั้นไม่ใช่แค่การปกป้องต้นไม้ แต่ต้องรักษาความหลากหลายของสัตว์ป่าที่ช่วยสร้างสมดุลในระบบนิเวศด้วยครับ
