# "The Rights, Equality and Dignity of Women"
The Prime Minister spoke on International Women's Day for 2026. "Women's Rights, Equality and Dignity" is the cornerstone of a democratic society and sustainable development.
(March 8, 69) The Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Mr. Anin Chan Virgul, delivered a speech on International Women's Day for 2026.
On March 8, it is "International Women's Day." Best wishes are sent to Thai women across the country, including those who have worked in women's development as a major force for advancing Thai society in quality. International Women's Day is not only a day of congratulations, but a day set by the global community to remind each other that "women's rights, equality and dignity" are the cornerstone of a democratic society and sustainable development.
Throughout history, women around the world have fought for equal recognition in their families, workplaces, and in the public sphere. Today it not only commemorates those struggles, but continues to be more tangible because a strong society is one in which everyone sees each other's values and encourages the introduction of those values into social development.
For this year, the government defined the main concept for International Women's Day as "Women's Rights, Justice, and Voices: Towards a Society That Leaves No One Behind," which implies a focus on encouraging women to have an artificial place to stand and the opportunity to make full use of their potential, the opportunity to contribute to policy and the direction of national development.
The Prime Minister believes that Thai women have great potential, whether in leadership roles, businessmen, academics, farmers, workers in all walks of life, or as mothers and family caregivers, all roles are valuable and complement our society.
"On the occasion of International Women's Day, wish all Thai women happiness, physical health and a strong heart, confidence in their own worth, and move forward with pride to serve as role models and aspirations for our children to continue to be the dominant force of our country in the future."
การตระหนักถึงสิทธิ ความเสมอภาค และศักดิ์ศรีของสตรีไม่ได้เป็นเพียงช่วงเวลาหนึ่งในปฏิทินเท่านั้น แต่เป็นเรื่องที่ทุกคนในสังคมควรให้ความสำคัญอย่างต่อเนื่อง ในฐานะผู้หญิงคนหนึ่งที่ได้มีโอกาสเห็นและสัมผัสถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงในสังคมไทย พื้นที่ของผู้หญิงในสังคมผ่านหลายทศวรรษที่ผ่านมาได้ขยายกว้างขึ้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นในด้านการศึกษา การทำงาน และการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมือง จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัว การมีบทบาทที่หลากหลายทั้งในฐานะลูกจ้างและแม่บ้าน ทำให้เห็นชัดเจนว่าโอกาสไม่ได้มีให้เท่าเทียมเสมอไป หากแต่มีช่องว่างที่ยังต้องปิดอยู่ เพราะฉะนั้น ความพยายามจากภาครัฐและภาคประชาสังคมอย่างที่นายกรัฐมนตรีกล่าวถึงในการผลักดันสิทธิและเสียงของผู้หญิง จึงเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นสำคัญที่ไม่เพียงแต่ปลุกจิตสำนึก แต่ยังช่วยเปิดประตูโอกาสที่เท่าเทียมกันให้กับสตรีทุกคน นอกจากนี้ การเน้นเรื่อง "สังคมที่ไม่ทิ้งใครไว้ข้างหลัง" เป็นแนวทางที่ช่วยขจัดความเหลื่อมล้ำและสร้างสังคมที่ทุกคนได้รับการยอมรับและมีคุณค่าไม่ว่าจะอยู่ในสถานะใด การผลักดันให้ผู้หญิงสามารถแสดงศักยภาพเต็มที่ ไม่ว่าจะในฐานะผู้นำ นักธุรกิจ หรือแม่บ้าน ล้วนเป็นส่วนสำคัญในการสร้างสรรค์และพัฒนาสังคมโดยรวม สุดท้ายนี้ การสนับสนุนผู้หญิงในทุกบทบาท ควรเป็นเรื่องที่เราทุกคนร่วมมือกัน เพื่อสร้างอนาคตที่ทุกคนได้รับโอกาสที่เท่าเทียมและสังคมที่เข้มแข็ง คือสังคมที่ผู้หญิงและผู้ชายเดินไปข้างหน้าร่วมกันอย่างภาคภูมิใจ
