Proactive and key operational measures:
🌍 Respond Global Report: Accepting a report from the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), highlighting strict monitoring and control measures on areas of trade, particularly in major tourist attractions and shopping centers.
🤝 Integrated Cooperation: A force between the Economic Crimes Suppression Task Force (DEP), the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) and the private sector can search and seize copyrights.
🚫 Cut the cycle of delinquency: not just arrests, but also measures to cancel space leases for illegal shops; to prevent the resumption of redistribution of goods in a temporary stall format.
👜 Check Covers All Goods: A heavy emphasis on brand-name merchandise groups, bags, clothes, watches and shoes, that are not standard and infringe on trademarks.
The National Police Agency warns operators and shops to comply strictly with the law. If piracy is found, criminal charges will be brought in order to maintain the positive economic image of Thailand.
