If I could only keep 5 skincare products 👀

We all have those skincare products that we always go back to or always keep in our rotation! If I had to keep only 5 skincare products here are the 5 I would keep!

My five must haves:

- oil cleaner: great for melting off makeup

- Azelaic acid: great for helping skin texture and dark spots

- Caudalie vinoperfect serum: my favorite serum for dark spots

- sunscreen: kiehls sunscreen because it makes my skin glow

- weleda og cream: my favorite thick moisturizer that really hydrates my skin

if you could keep only 5 skincare products what would you keep??

... Read moreWhen it comes to selecting just five skincare products, it’s important to choose versatile and effective ones that address your main skin concerns while supporting overall skin health. I’ve found that an oil cleanser is an essential first step for thoroughly removing makeup and impurities without stripping skin’s natural oils. Many oil cleansers, like the one from Erborian mentioned, not only melt off makeup but also soothe sensitive skin, making them excellent for daily use. Azelaic acid has rapidly become a staple in my routine due to its remarkable ability to even skin tone, reduce dark spots, and improve texture. It’s particularly beneficial for those struggling with redness or hyperpigmentation since it gently exfoliates without irritation. Combining azelaic acid with a targeted serum like Caudalie's Vinoperfect enhances the fading of stubborn dark spots by brightening the complexion and imparting a healthy glow. Sunscreen is an absolute non-negotiable—not only does it protect from harmful UV rays, but choosing hydrating options such as Kiehl's broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen adds moisture and radiance, ensuring your skin stays plump and glowing throughout the day. Lastly, a rich moisturizer like Weleda's classic Skin Food cream locks in hydration and repairs dry, flaky skin with potent plant extracts, especially important for nighttime restoration. From my experience, these five products create a balanced regimen that cleanses deeply, treats specific concerns like texture and dark spots, protects against environmental damage, and offers intense hydration. Whether you have dry, combination, or sensitive skin, incorporating these essentials can simplify your routine without sacrificing results. What I love most is how these items complement each other—the oil cleanser prepares the skin, azelaic acid and serum work on pigmentation and texture, sunscreen shields from sun damage, and the thick moisturizer seals everything in. It’s a simple yet highly effective approach to skincare that anyone can customize based on personal needs. If you had only five products to keep, I highly recommend considering multifunctional ones that deliver both treatment and nourishment.
