We celebrated a very special occasion yesterday my baby cousins both graduated one from Highschool and one from Kindergarten. Every since my brother passed away getting together with our family has been very special to me. This song makes me cry bc moving to NYC to be closer to family was always a dream of my brother Richy and I both shared. Since moving back I’ve been having the time of my life and I feel so blessed and sad because I wish all the time Richy could have came along 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Richy would have been so proud of his favorite baby cousins 😭😭😭
Family gatherings after losing a loved one can be both comforting and emotional. I have found that celebrating milestones, like graduations, takes on a deeper meaning when shared with those closest to us. Moving closer to family, such as relocating to New York City, not only fulfills shared dreams but also strengthens bonds through everyday moments. The mix of joy and sadness felt when a beloved family member, like Richy, has passed, reminds us to cherish the present while honoring their memory. Music and songs often become a channel for expressing emotions that words cannot capture, making celebrations even more poignant. In my experience, keeping family traditions alive and supporting each other through life’s highs and lows creates lasting memories and a sense of belonging. Being part of these milestones with cousins and siblings helps heal the wounds of loss and reminds us of the enduring power of family love.
