Anxiety vs Solo Concert Adventure🫢
I had anxiety.
I almost didn’t go.
But I still took myself to see Beyoncé… solo 💫
I’ve spent so much of my life waiting to be “less anxious” or “fully healed” before doing fun things — but honestly? That version of me may never exist. And I deserve joy now.
So I showed up. By myself.
I danced a little. Cried a little. Left early.
But I went. And that’s enough.
Sometimes the solo date isn’t perfect.
But it’s powerful.
Because it means I’m choosing myself 💕 even with shaky hands.
This is your sign to take yourself out. Even if your voice trembles. Even if you leave early. Even if you’re healing.
It still counts.

Healing is not about waiting to be "brave enough"; it is about going anyway, as emphasized in the powerful message seen in the images: "Healing isn't waiting until you're 'brave enough.' Healing is going anyway." This mindset shift is critical for those struggling with anxiety or emotional challenges that often delay meaningful experiences and self-care. Attending an event like a solo concert can be a transformative act of self-love and courage. Studies show that engaging in solo activities such as solo dates or attending concerts alone helps build confidence, promotes self-awareness, and nurtures mental resilience. It allows individuals to focus inward, embrace vulnerability, and find joy on personal terms. Taking small but brave steps—such as going to a concert alone, dancing, or even leaving early if needed—is part of honoring one’s emotional journey. This approach aligns with current mental health best practices, encouraging gradual exposure and self-compassion. Moreover, solo experiences can foster "main character energy," empowering individuals to see themselves as the protagonist in their life stories capable of shaping their happiness regardless of external circumstances. This feeling supports ongoing healing and wellness, breaking the harmful cycle of waiting to feel "fully healed" before engaging in joy. Incorporating healing journeys and solo dates into wellness routines, supported by communities and hashtags like #HealingJourney, #SoloDate, and #Wellness, provides encouragement and solidarity. These insights highlight the importance of embracing imperfections in healing, such as shaky hands or a trembling voice, reinforcing that the act of choosing oneself is what truly counts. For anyone hesitant to step out because of anxiety or fear, remember that showing up—even if everything isn’t perfect—is a powerful, commendable act that contributes to personal growth and lasting well-being.

Proud of you! I enjoy going to concerts with people, but I’ve been to more concerts by myself than I’ve been to with friends or family. One year I went to over 12 concerts solo and had a ball at every last one of them. Made friends, got moved further to the stage, and was able to meet the artist or go backstage. Find comfort with doing small things solo and soon it’ll become easier. 💕
