Paypal stuck it to me the wrong way again.... I canceled all subscriptions through them months and months ago. But they teamed up with the losers who try and publish medium to try a quick one. I say losers not as a disparaging term but rather as a factual term because they did in fact lose out on my writing after they literally changed the entire company policy around paying writers to their paid service within a week or so of me signing up last year..... they lost (me.) by losing out on my writing at the very least which is why I am not doing any name calling but just noticing the obvious calculation. #writing #learning #earning #spending

Find the Transaction: You’ll need to locate the specific transaction that's causing you grief. In my case, it was that -$50.00 payment to 'A Medium Corporation' that appeared on January 11, 2026. Be as accurate as possible with the date and amount. Provide Details: PayPal will ask you to describe what happened. This is your chance to explain why you believe the charge is unauthorized. Did you cancel a subscription? Did you not recognize the merchant? Be clear and concise. Mention if you've already tried contacting the merchant, or if, like me, the PayPal Assistant couldn't provide an immediate solution. Submit Your Claim: Once you've filled out all the necessary information, submit your claim. After you report the problem, PayPal will open a case. They usually investigate these claims, and it might take some time to get a resolution. You’ll receive updates via email, so keep an eye on your inbox. Sometimes they might ask for more information, so be prepared to provide it. To prevent future headaches, here are a few tips I've picked up: Review your activity regularly: Make it a habit to check your PayPal transactions and other bank statements. Manage your automatic payments: PayPal has a section in its settings where you can view and manage all your pre-approved payments and subscriptions. I thought I'd done this, but obviously, some slipped through the cracks! This is a great way to ensure you actually cancel all recurring payments.
