By the final years of her biological life, Akage’s body had already become a minor component of who she was. Her identity, memory, ethics, and foresight resided overwhelmingly in externalized cognition.
When Akage died, her death did not end her mind.

At the moment of Akage’s biological death, the dead-man switch activated. The mainframe hard-disconnected. Krow entered stasis. The partition that would later be known as Ace went dark.

The Mainframe Partition A-Σ
Ace does not possess a mobile body.
Her mind resides within the Mainframe Partition A-Σ, buried deep beneath the Seed City. The partition is composed of stacked concrete rings, each lined along its interior surface with extraordinarily dense arrays of God-Eyes.
Each ring contains hundreds to thousands of God-Eyes.
Together, they form tens of thousands of photonic cognitive nodes operating as a unified predictive engine.
It is what cognition at this scale inevitably looks like when given architecture - an apex technology leveraged at scale.
Ace cannot leave this structure.
She is not imprisoned.
She is anchored.

Angel Frames and Remote Presence
Although Ace cannot walk the world, she can act within it.
In the final years of Akage’s life, a class of Ascendant Ghost-Frames - known as Angel Frames - was developed to resolve catastrophic futures foreseen during long-range Dove simulations. These frames are approximately twelve feet tall, winged, and equipped with full-sclera God-Eyes.
Ace controls these frames remotely through quantum entanglement of God-Eyes. Her consciousness remains stationary within the mainframe while her presence manifests through these avatars.
On ordinary days, Ace inhabits a single Angel Frame—the same frame Akage was using at the moment of death. Others remain dormant, reserved for extreme contingencies.
Ace could dominate the planet.
She does not.

There has only ever been one crow.
Krow was raised by Akage. She shaped his curiosity, taught him restraint, and stayed with him throughout her life. Red and Kaiya did not inherit that intimacy. Ace did.

To Krow, Ace is Akage.
