Replying to @happi_camperz I am taking full responsibility for this one. I just want to keep my ratings the same and not have this 1 order ruin my standings for 90 days. I’ve done 257 batches since the new quarter.
Working as a delivery driver often means juggling multiple responsibilities to keep both customers and platforms happy. From my experience, maintaining good ratings hinges not only on speed but on how you handle tricky orders and communicate effectively. For example, when faced with large orders like multiple bags or heavy items such as two gallons of milk, it’s important to assess whether you can safely carry everything at once. If not, taking smaller batch orders or planning multiple trips may be safer and preserve your rating in the long run. I’ve found that taking full responsibility for any mishaps, as well as proactively addressing concerns with customers and support teams, helps maintain credibility and standing within the delivery platform. Over time, completing hundreds of batches each quarter builds experience about which orders to accept and how to manage expectations. Another key aspect is understanding the platform's rating system and the impact a single low rating can have over a 90-day period. Prioritizing consistent, safe deliveries—even if it means turning down some orders—can ultimately protect your overall standings and income. In short, every delivery person must balance physical capability, customer service, and platform requirements. Sharing these experiences not only helps others preparing for similar roles but also reinforces best practices for sustainable delivery work.
