must try POLO PAU EGGLETS

Was so so excited to try polo pau egglets from Chicken Egg Boy and it didn’t disappoint!!! Fr gotta add this to your list when you next go to Hong Kong!

The polo pau flavours weren’t as sweet as I thought it’ll be, and egglets on the other hand were so crispy and yet soft on the inside.

Drinks were refreshing and we opted for those without milk as we had the egglets for dessert.

We tried these:

• Polo Pau Egglets (GET)

Choco Chip Egglets (about 1 choco chip per egg)

• Lemon Tea (GET)

• Passionfruit Tea

Chicken Egg Boy
1/15 Edited to

... Read moreIf you find yourself in Hong Kong and craving unique local snacks, Chicken Egg Boy is definitely a spot you shouldn’t miss. Beyond the popular Polo Pau and Egglets, they also offer variations like the Choco Chip Egglets, which add a delightful chocolate surprise in each bite. An important tip from my visit: try to choose drinks without milk if you plan to enjoy the Egglets as dessert—this helps keep the flavors balanced and the palate refreshed. The crispy outside and soft inside texture of Egglets combined with the milder sweetness of Polo Pau makes for an ideal snack or light meal. Also, don’t hesitate to explore different flavors and combinations, such as the lemon and passionfruit teas we tried, which perfectly complement the subtle sweetness of the buns and the crispiness of the Egglets. These drinks are refreshing and help cleanse your palate between bites. A little insight from the local favorites: the pineapple bun egglets are another delicious variation you might want to explore next time. These treats capture the essence of Hong Kong street food culture while offering something beyond typical bakery items. Overall, Chicken Egg Boy provides an authentic taste experience with quality ingredients and creative twists on classic dishes, making it a great addition to your Hong Kong food adventure list.
