จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวในการบริหารธุรกิจและพบเห็นเจ้าของกิจการจำนวนไม่น้อยที่ประสบปัญหาขายดีแต่ไม่สามารถเติบโตไปรวดเร็วได้ ผมเห็นว่าสาเหตุหลักมักเกิดจากการขยันในที่ผิดสนาม หรือลงแรงไปในตลาดที่ไม่มีแนวโน้มเติบโต (The Market Momentum) เช่นเดียวกับการที่ไม่มีระบบธุรกิจที่ช่วยสนับสนุนความขยายตัว (The Scalability System) ทำให้เจ้าของกลายเป็นคอขวดที่ต้องบริหารทุกขั้นตอนด้วยตัวเองจนไม่มีเวลาพัฒนาธุรกิจต่อไป เมื่อผมนำแนวคิดนี้มาปรับใช้ พบว่าการหยุดการทำงานที่ไม่ได้ก่อให้เกิดผลลัพธ์ที่แท้จริง แล้วหันมาทบทวนตลาดและสร้างระบบธุรกิจที่สามารถทำงานแทนเจ้าของได้ ช่วยให้ธุรกิจเริ่มสร้างรายได้ที่มั่นคงและปรับขยายตัวได้ในระยะยาวมากขึ้น เช่น การวิเคราะห์ตลาดว่ามีขนาดและแนวโน้มเติบโตจริงไหม อาจจะต้องเปลี่ยนกลุ่มเป้าหมาย หรือปรับรูปแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ให้ตอบโจทย์ตลาดมากขึ้น นอกจากนี้ การสร้างระบบธุรกิจ เช่น ระบบจัดการออร์เดอร์ ระบบการเงิน หรือระบบบริหารคลังสินค้าให้เป็นระบบอัตโนมัติหรือง่ายต่อการจัดการ ก็สามารถลดภาระงานที่ไม่จำเป็น และช่วยให้เจ้าของมีเวลาวางกลยุทธ์ใหม่ๆ เพื่อการเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืนอีกด้วย นับว่า“กับดักความขยัน” เป็นอุปสรรคที่ต้องแก้ไขด้วยการตั้งคำถามและวิเคราะห์เกมที่เราเล่นอยู่ในธุรกิจ เพื่อเลือกสนามที่ถูกต้อง ลงแรงในสิ่งที่ใช่ และสร้างระบบที่ช่วยให้ธุรกิจเติบโตได้จริง ไม่ใช่เพียงแค่ขายดีแต่เหนื่อยจนไม่มีกำไรและเวลาส่วนตัวเหลือเลย
