This is one of those books where I kept saying “just one more chapter” and suddenly it’s far later than intended, Kindle glued to my hand while my responsibilities quietly waited in the corner.

Lucy Foley really knows how to do that slow unraveling of secrets where everyone feels suspicious and every tiny detail starts looking important.

And the twist? Let’s just say I had my theories… and then the book looked me dead in the eye and said cute. 💀

I also became slightly obsessed with the setting. The whole coastal atmosphere had me mentally packing a bag while reading. I’m pretty sure it’s set around Lyme Regis and now I’m convinced I’ve driven past it before, which somehow makes it even more intriguing.

Isn’t it strange how books do that? You start reading for the mystery and suddenly you’re Googling places and imagining yourself there, walking along the coastline trying to solve fictional crimes that have absolutely nothing to do with you.

A dark, addictive read filled with secrets, tension, and twists that made putting my Kindle down feel like an impossible task.
