Mother's Day

I couldn't say much thanks on Mother's Day because my relatives had a misfortune.

母の日は普段は家族や母親に感謝を伝える温かい一日ですが、人生には予期せぬ出来事もあります。私も親族の不幸が重なり、感謝の気持ちを言葉にする余裕が持てず、精神的に非常に疲れてしまいました。そんな中、家事や炊事をこなす合間に手作りの時間を持つことにしました。普段は母の好きな色で作品を作ることが多く、似たようなものばかりになってしまいますが、今回は初めて緑色の素材を使ってブローチを作りました。色や配置のバランスを考えながら集中する時間は、心の整理にもなりました。完成したブローチは自分で見るとどこか汚さや不完全さを感じてしまいましたが、逆にそれが手作りならではの温かさや人間味を感じさせるものでもあります。渡した時にも複雑な気持ちがありながら、形に残る贈り物は言葉以上の気持ちを伝えてくれると改めて気づきました。精神的に落ち込んでいる時ほど、手を動かして創作活動をすることは心のケアにとても有効だと思います。皆さんももし疲れや悲しみで気持ちが沈んでいる時は、無理をせず小さな手作りや好きなことから少しずつ始めてみてはいかがでしょうか。心が少しずつ軽くなり、新たな気持ちでまた挑戦できる日が来るはずです。
