... Read moreHey everyone! 👋 You know how much I love sharing my adventures here on Lemon8, and today I wanted to give you a little update on my US travels. As some of you might know from my previous posts, I’ve been slowly making my way around the United States, and it’s been such a journey discovering what each state has to offer. So far, I’ve had the joy of visiting two incredible states, and while both were amazing in their own unique ways, one has definitely captured my heart more than any other.
Can you guess which one? Drumroll please... it’s Texas! 🤠 From the moment I stepped foot in the Lone Star State, I just knew it was special. There’s something about the vast landscapes, the incredibly friendly people, and the vibrant culture that just resonates with me. I mean, where else can you find such delicious BBQ, incredible live music scenes, and such a strong sense of pride all in one place? I absolutely loved exploring Austin’s quirky vibe, soaking in the history of San Antonio, and experiencing the sheer scale of everything in Houston. It truly felt like a home away from home.
For anyone who's thinking about visiting Texas, I can't recommend it enough! Make sure to try some authentic Tex-Mex, catch a sunset over the Hill Country, and maybe even try your hand at line dancing. Every corner offers a new adventure, and I’m already dreaming of my next trip back.
Now, you might be wondering about the other state I visited. While I won’t name it specifically for now, it taught me so much about exploring new places and finding beauty in unexpected corners. Every trip, no matter how short, adds to your story, right? It’s not just about ticking off states on a map, but about the memories you make and the lessons you learn along the way. I remember looking at a map, just like the one in my post that lists states like California, Florida, New York, and even more unique ones like Wyoming or the Dakotas, and thinking about all the different experiences waiting out there.
Speaking of maps, I’ve been tracking my progress and it’s fun to see how much of the US I've managed to visit so far – roughly 4% according to my personal travel tracker! It’s such a small percentage, but it just motivates me to keep going. I have so many states on my bucket list, from the stunning coastlines of California and Oregon to the historical richness of Virginia and Massachusetts, and the natural beauty of Colorado and Arizona. Imagine exploring the bustling cities of Illinois or the tranquil lakes of Minnesota! Each one holds a promise of unique discoveries.
What about you all? What are your favorite states you've visited, and why? Or which states are at the top of your travel wish list? I’d love to hear your recommendations and travel stories in the comments below! Let's inspire each other to explore more of this incredible country. Happy travels, Lemon8 fam!
