It is in fact that deep

... Read moreReflecting on my top five horror stories really opened my eyes to the deeper challenges many of us face in life and work. Not fulfilling a God-given vision is something that cuts especially deep because it’s about the dreams and potential we have for ourselves that remain unrealized. It’s like a shadow that follows you around—a constant reminder of what could be but isn’t. Another horror story that really resonates with me is tethering myself to someone who doesn’t uplift or support me. Whether it’s in friendships or professional relationships, being bound to the wrong person can drain your energy and hold you back from flourishing. The casual texts of 'Wyd' and 'What do you like to do for fun' might seem harmless, but they represent shallow connections that miss the depth of true understanding. It’s frustrating when communication lacks substance and makes you feel invisible or misunderstood. Interestingly, I never expected to include something as sensory as the smell of olives and food after I’m done eating as a horror story, but maybe it’s about unpleasant reminders or negative associations that trigger discomfort or bad memories. Commission-based work is often glamorized, but it can be terrifying in its unpredictability and pressure. Relying on commissions means constantly worrying about your next paycheck and facing instability. Finally, having your intellectual property stolen is a nightmare that strikes at the heart of creativity and originality. It’s not just about lost income but also about the violation of personal expression and trust. Sharing these fears publicly helped me feel less alone and encouraged me to confront them head-on. If you’ve experienced similar struggles, remember that acknowledging your 'horror stories' is the first step toward healing and growth.
