Just a little reminder for anyone trying with PCOS

I was told at 19 that I’d never have kids.

I have three now.

What helped me was keeping things simple:

– omega-3 supplements

– daily walks

– watching my sugar

– and honestly… relaxing

I also learned that if your hormones are really off, sometimes getting on birth control for a couple of months can help level things out before trying again. That reset can make a difference for some people.

I stopped making sex a “job” and focused more on enjoying my partner and the moment. I still took care of my body, but I let go of the pressure.

If you’re trying and feeling discouraged, just know you’re not alone.

Take the steps that feel right for you, and don’t forget to enjoy the time together too. 💛

Sometimes easing up makes more room for good things to happen. 🍼

... Read moreLiving with PCOS can often feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to trying to conceive. From my own experience, I found that the journey becomes more manageable when you focus on holistic care and gentle lifestyle changes. Incorporating omega-3 supplements was a game-changer for me—not only do they promote regular ovulation, but they also reduce androgen levels and inflammation, which are common challenges with PCOS. It's important to choose a high-quality fish oil supplement and take it consistently. Daily walks became my form of meditation and physical activity combined. Gentle exercise like walking helps improve insulin sensitivity, which can be disrupted in PCOS, and it also supports mental well-being. Watching my sugar intake helped stabilize my blood sugar and hormone levels, which is key because blood sugar spikes can worsen symptoms related to PCOS. Relaxation, although often overlooked, is crucial. Stress can exacerbate hormonal imbalances, so finding ways to unwind, whether through mindfulness, yoga, or simply enjoying quality time with your partner, can positively impact your fertility. Another insight I gained was considering a short course of birth control pills as a 'hormonal reset' before trying again to conceive. This approach can sometimes help normalize cycles and make ovulation more predictable. Most importantly, I shifted my mindset away from seeing sex as a task and focused on connection and enjoying intimate moments without pressure. This change reduced stress for both me and my partner and made a big difference in our journey. If you’re feeling discouraged, remember you’re not alone. Every person’s PCOS experience is unique, so it’s about taking the steps that feel right for you and creating space for hope and positivity. Sometimes, by easing up on the pressure and embracing a supportive routine, miracles happen.
