Peace is not when everything is figured out

Nothing is fully settled yet.

And honestly,

this used to make me very uneasy.

The waiting.

The not knowing.

The what if thoughts.

Yesterday my mind was running a lot.

Thinking ahead.

Imagining scenarios.

Trying to control things that are not even confirmed.

Very tiring.

I think many people understand this.

It’s not always the situation.

It’s the thoughts that come with it.

Today ...

Still waiting.

Still not having all the answers.

But something feels different.

I’m not trying to figure out everything at once anymore.

Just doing what I can in the moment.

Still learning to build something slowly, even on days like this.

One step at a time.

One update at a time.

And somehow,

it feels lighter.

Not because everything is okay.

But because I stopped trying to control everything.

And chose to trust instead.

And, I’m really thankful to God for this peace today 💛

Peace is not when everything is settled.

It’s when we learn to be steady

even when it’s not.

Do you find your mind running ahead

before things are even confirmed?

Or have you also learned

to slow it down a little?

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

... Read moreLiving with uncertainty can feel overwhelming, especially when our minds race ahead trying to predict outcomes that haven’t yet unfolded. I’ve experienced this firsthand—the tension of waiting, the exhausting what-if scenarios, and the urge to control everything before it’s even clear what needs controlling. What I’ve found transformational is shifting focus from the uncontrollable future to what I can do in the present moment. One practical approach I’ve adopted is mindfulness—pausing to acknowledge my restless thoughts without judgment. Instead of trying to suppress them, I recognize that it’s natural to feel uneasy with ambiguity. By sitting with those feelings and gently redirecting my attention to the here and now, I create a small space of calm. I remind myself that peace isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about cultivating steadiness amid not having them. Another key part of my journey has been trust—trust not only in the process of life but, for me personally, in God’s guidance and timing. Incorporating prayer and gratitude daily helps me anchor my mind and heart. Like the scripture Philippians 4:6-7 says, releasing anxiety through prayer has profound effects on my peace of mind. I also practice breaking down my goals and challenges into manageable steps. When everything feels unsettled, focusing on one small action helps me regain a sense of progress and control. It’s the steady, intentional living—taking one update at a time—that lightens the burden and nurtures growth. If you find your mind running ahead, I encourage you to try these small shifts: notice your thoughts, practice mindfulness, express gratitude, and trust the process. Peace isn’t the absence of uncertainty but the ability to remain steady despite it. You’re not alone in your feelings, and together, we can learn to slow our racing minds and embrace the journey with open hearts.

To my 27 y/o self who found out he cheated.
27 felt like the end for me. but that heartbreak was the beginning of everything i needed to learn my worth, my boundaries, my peace, my future. you don’t come out of heartbreak unchanged. you come out closer to the person you were meant to be. did your healing change you too?
