As a wise Black Woman
The verdict of the chow situation is nothing new to me. I've always knew everyone plays into antiblackness and yt supremacy. Its in every culture. I've always told black people to economlly invest and only buy everything from your own community. A lot of poc people (not all) come from a extreme hierarchy colorist and racist society and they bring that mentality to America. I've always studied history and cultural norms from all non-American backgrounds so I am aware what I am going to deal with incase that person is racist because I know the sources. I'VE told black people to advocate only for thier own community and create a antiblack hate bill , because people are never going to change but if thier are laws that are created and people will get jail time life will be easier for you. Thats why I will always promote having high racial self esteem and cultural pride because when you do that , you will remove yourselves and wont even associate with those who don't have respect for your people. In real life I barely deal with racism because I avoid people and places that are known for carrying certain behaviors. I stay with my own people and life is easier . All my beauty services are done by Black women. all my cosmetics, beauty hair, even beauty supplies are all from black women. The only time I dont shop from my culture is when im buying groracys ,house items, little stuff. Majority of the time my money goes to the black community and my life is very smooth.not perfect but I avoid 90% of the problem.
From my personal experience, embracing economic self-reliance within the Black community has been a transformative journey that significantly reduces encounters with racism and discrimination. By consciously choosing to spend with Black-owned businesses—whether it’s beauty services, hair care, or cosmetics—I’ve noticed not only a stronger sense of cultural pride but also a tangible impact on community growth. This approach aligns with the power of supporting black-owned enterprises, which helps circulate wealth within the community and combats systemic inequalities. Understanding the roots of antiblackness and white supremacy in various cultures, including those of many people of color, is crucial. It has helped me recognize the behaviors and mindsets that perpetuate such biases, allowing me to navigate social spaces more mindfully. Setting boundaries by avoiding places and people known for racist attitudes contributes greatly to everyday peace of mind. Advocacy is another vital aspect. Supporting legislative efforts like anti-antiblack hate crime bills can create safer environments where consequences for discrimination are enforced. While changing deep-seated prejudices might be slow, systemic measures can help protect communities and provide a pathway to justice. Building high racial self-esteem and cultural pride isn’t just about resilience; it’s about thriving. When you value your identity and heritage, you naturally attract relationships and networks that honor and respect that spirit, creating a supportive community ecosystem. This personal strategy has made life smoother, more fulfilling, and meaningful, despite the imperfections and challenges inherent in any community. In conclusion, investing economically in one’s culture, advocating for legal protections, and fostering positive racial identity are essential steps. They not only empower individuals but also strengthen the collective future of the Black community.
