Vanilla Aura Two Week Update ✨
🎶Still in love, still in love with you 🎶
It’s been two weeks and I’m still loving and enjoying Vanilla Aura.
I’m beginning a new series this month where I chat about middle eastern/arabic dupe house fragrances. I have full bottles, samples, and decants I’m wearing and exploring.
I want to understand the “hype” behind some of these fragrances and most of them I genuinely really enjoy. Let’s smell, learn, and discern what makes them smell good or bad for that matter.
This is your reminder that not all Arabic and middle eastern fragrances are DUPES! This is very important to educate audiences about.
🔗Fragrances I mention will all be linked on Shopmy and LTK in bio.

Since I'm two weeks into my journey with Vanilla Aura, I wanted to share some more in-depth thoughts beyond just 'still loving it!' This fragrance truly captures a warm, inviting vanilla, but it's not just a flat, sweet scent. I've noticed it has a beautiful depth, almost a creamy, slightly smoky facet that makes it feel incredibly sophisticated. It opens with that immediate comforting sweetness, but as it dries down, I get hints of something slightly woody or amber-like, which really grounds the vanilla and prevents it from being cloying. This balance is what makes it so captivating and why I reach for it so often – it's an experience, not just a smell. When it comes to performance, I've been genuinely impressed. I usually get a solid 6-8 hours of wear on my skin, and even longer on clothes, often lingering faintly until the next day. The sillage is moderate; it creates a lovely scent bubble around me without being overwhelming, which is perfect for daily wear or even a cozy evening out. It’s definitely a compliment-getter; I’ve already received a few questions about what I’m wearing! This makes it a fantastic choice for those who want their fragrance to be noticeable but not overpowering, ideal for both office environments and social gatherings. Now, about the 'dupe' conversation – it's a hot topic, especially with Maison Asrar fragrances gaining so much traction. While many Middle Eastern perfumes are often inspired by popular designer scents, I truly believe Vanilla Aura stands on its own. It might share a similar vibe or olfactory family with some well-known vanilla powerhouses, but it has its own unique character. I wouldn't call it a direct clone, but rather a beautifully crafted, affordable alternative that delivers high quality and an impressive scent profile. It embodies the essence of a luxurious vanilla without the hefty price tag, making it incredibly accessible for anyone wanting to explore rich, warm vanilla scents without breaking the bank. It feels like a high-end experience in an approachable bottle. One thing I appreciate is its versatility. While it leans towards a comforting, autumnal/winter scent, I've found it still works wonderfully on cooler spring days or even as a cozy evening scent in warmer weather. It layers beautifully with other fragrances, especially those with amber or musk notes, adding an extra layer of warmth and sweetness. For anyone looking to find their signature vanilla, or just add a reliable, gorgeous vanilla to their collection, I can confidently say Vanilla Aura is a strong contender. It's quickly become a staple in my collection, and I'm excited to see how my love for it continues to grow with more wear!
