Leaky water stain
Water Ponding Test is a way to detect seepage and leakage systems in bathrooms, decks or balconies by closing drainage holes and locking water to a height of about 3-5 cm for 24-48 hours to observe falling water levels and check seepage marks in ceilings or side room walls.
Leak Test Waterlock Procedure (Bathroom / Deck)
1.Clean: Clean the surface area you want to test. Do not contain mortar or dust.
2. Floor Drain: Use Oil Soil, Plastic Bag with Water, or Hose Plug to Close the Sewerage Mouth
3. Locking water: Locking water all over the surface with a water level of about 3-5 centimeters.
4.Wait results: leave for 24-48 hours
5. Check:
* Water level: If the water drops abnormally, there is a leak.
* Downstairs / Side Room: Check the ceiling or adjacent wall if there is a water stain or drip.
6.Drainage: After completion, drain out to check the sewerage system is not clogged.
Additional Instructions
* Duration: Standard test, waterlock for at least 48 hours
* Important Points: Focus on the Corner and Drain area because it is the easiest to leak.
* Correction: If a leak is found, the tiles should be dismantled and a new seepage system should be made.
This test should be done before the actual tiling, or before delivering the work for confidence.
