We are found in Him and not ourselves

The love of Jesus is above all things and there are two parts to us. We have the ability to choose what we love but we also have a spirit to guide us through those choices. The love of the Father is in us all but so is the world and we can make choices on which one we choose to serve. God wants to serve Him whole heartedly without the love of the world in mind.

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever” John 2:15-17

In a world often focused on material possessions and personal accomplishments, understanding our identity in Christ is essential. The notion that we are defined by our relationship with God rather than by societal expectations can be liberating. Recognizing that God's love is unconditional and transcends our failures allows us to approach life with a renewed perspective. As stated in Ephesians 3:12, we are invited to approach God with freedom and confidence, understanding our worth in His eyes. Moreover, as we navigate our spiritual journey, it’s crucial to let go of the identities shaped by our past mistakes or current circumstances. Instead, embracing our identity as a child of God brings hope and purpose. Community in faith further enriches our lives, breaking down barriers that often divide us. As members of God’s family, we can support one another in love and grace, reinforcing the idea that we are never alone in our struggles. Burdens can be shared, and victories celebrated together. Ultimately, the love of Jesus empowers us to live authentically and to choose Him over the fleeting desires of the world, reminding us that true fulfillment comes from our relationship with Him.
