How to customize your apps on your homescreen 📲
Step 1: First you will start by going to Pinterest and looking up whichever app icon you want. For example I was doing Instagram so I typed in Instagram widget. This could also be labeled as “Instagram app icon” you can add into the search bar whatever color or theme you’d like as well if you’d like a bigger selection of options.
Step 2: select the instagram app icon you’d like. Next select the 3 circles icon below the picture on the far right. Down below you will select download image.
Step 3: go back to your Home Screen and search shortcuts in the search bar and select shortcuts.
Step 4: when you open the shortcuts app, select the plus button at the top far right corner.
Step 5: next you will select the middle button that says open App.
Step 6: next you will select the app button on the right beside where it says open.
Step 7: next you will type in the app you’re looking for, when you find the app, select the app. For example: I was creating an Instagram app icon so I typed in Instagram.
Step 8: next select the arrow down button beside open app. This will pull down a list of different options. You will select the add to Home Screen button.
Step 9: it will next bring up a page of the preview of your app icon. It should say new shortcut with a number beside it, tap on that to edit the name of your app.
Step 10: next there will be an icon below that looks like a picture, select that icon. It will then bring up options below. You will select choose photo and it will bring up your camera roll. You will select the photo from Pinterest you saved earlier. After you’ve positioned your photo the way you’d like it, select choose at the bottom right corner.
step 11: select the add button at the top right corner of the screen and go back to your homescreen.
Your app should now appear like the one on my cover photo and the app should work correctly 😊
