"Humans do not have free will as they think."

Baruch Spinoza, a 17th-century Jewish philosopher, believed that

Humans have no free will, as many people understand.

Human thought and action are determined by external and internal factors that we are not aware of.

Do you ever feel this way without saying it?

Where do these feelings come from?..

That we hate the whole nation or view them in the same light.

It can result from being taught or influenced by the environment or communication.

Not our real feelings or thoughts.

That humans are brainwashed or victims of thought control.

Is a state of ignorance and emotional dominance.

Like love, anger or hate.

Which leaves us powerless to control ourselves.

If we want to have freedom of thought,

Must understand their own emotions and develop enough knowledge.

To not let yourself fall victim to emotion and external control.

Spinoza divided human knowledge into 3 levels:

1.Imaginary knowledge - Basic knowledge that comes from the senses, such as what we see or hear from others.

2. Knowledge from reason - knowledge that comes from reasoning and learning in science.

3.Knowledge from the Ashjattiq Spirit - The highest level of knowledge that makes us understand nature and truth firsthand, and makes us see the connection between everything in this world.

To be free of thought requires a higher level of knowledge.

So that our beliefs or thoughts are not externally controlled and emotions uncontrolled.

Spinoza also said

Good and evil are related to human pleasure or displeasure.

It is meaningless by itself.

And we should try to understand the nature of life.

And what keeps life going to the fullest.

Without letting external things or external powers control or induce us.

"Humans can be enslaved to passion when our needs are attached to unsustainable things, and we do not understand our own emotions. The more we understand our emotions, the less our lust or needs."

These are words that reflect Spinoza's belief that

Understanding yourself and emotions is the key to mental freedom.

And free us from internal and external control.
