Things in Japan that just make sense

Japan had me wondering “why don’t we have this in America” quite often.

1. Their nursing rooms in the airports are amazing! Not just a pod or a room with a chair. There’s space to change your baby and even warm up bottles and plenty of space for more than one momma at a time to be in there.

2. Vending machines on the streets everywhere! You shall never be thirsty when walking around Japan. From green teas to coffee to fruit drinks. Beware though, there are no trash cans!

3. Bidets! If you aren’t a fan, you’re wrong (lol)

4. A seat to place your baby/toddler into while you use the restroom! How many times does your toddler try to escape the stall while you’re trying to do your business or you just hold your baby because you don’t want to put them on the dirty floor?!

5. The price of eggs! Need I say more lol

6. Carts in the airport with car seats, essentially. Check your stroller in and just use the FREE strollers in the airport.

7. Places to store your luggage in the airport so you can explore more before your flight or before you can check into your hotel.

Japan is just on another level with some things.

Tokyo

... Read moreJapan is known for its unique culture and innovations that enhance daily living. One such feature is the plethora of vending machines found on nearly every corner, offering everything from refreshing drinks to hot meals. These machines not only provide convenience but are also a testament to Japan's efficiency and attention to customer needs. Another standout aspect is the emphasis on family-friendly facilities. The nursing rooms at airports are spacious, equipped not just for feeding but also for changing diapers, ensuring that parents can tend to their babies comfortably. In addition, the availability of carts equipped with car seats in airports provides parents with a hassle-free travel experience. Moreover, the Japanese restroom experience often includes features like bidets, which many travelers find surprisingly pleasant and clean. This modern twist on hygiene exemplifies the country's dedication to comfort and cleanliness. For those traveling with kids, restrooms often include designated seating for toddlers, addressing a common concern for parents about keeping little ones safe and secure while using the facilities. And let’s not forget about the surprisingly reasonable prices of everyday items, like eggs; this offers a budget-friendly aspect to living in or visiting Japan. Lastly, the efficiency of luggage storage services allows travelers to explore freely without being bogged down by bags, making Japan an ideal destination for adventure-seekers. All these features reflect Japan’s mastery of blending convenience with thoughtful design, making a visit truly worthwhile.

We used to have those seats to put the baby in them when mom/dad here in the US. But it’s rare to seem today.
