Organizing vision boards
A big part of writing a story is having a vision. Some people like to do a physical presentation of this with photos, notes, timelines and strung. Unfortunately, I live in a small apartment and wall space is already scarce. Pinterest has helped me save so much time and energy in making a vision board digitally.
My vision board is very dark considering the theme of the book is mafia romance. I have so many different scenes and characters that share a common look, it’s easy to get them messed up. The most helpful part is the character looks. I recently did a post on character charts and this will help further.
For example, my FMC goes through being a weak woman to taking over the role of a powerful one. In the photos, you can find her character development. The idea of what she looks like when she’s in the scenes helps me explain the actions.
There are lots of scenes between different characters that I have that are based on pictures I see. It gives a feeling of the vibe.
I sectioned out my board into what the vibe is. I have one for each character, bonds between characters, helpful tips in writing and the overall main point of the book.
