I highly recommend exploring the historic Strand District, where quaint shops, art galleries, and cafes invite you to linger. Don’t miss out on trying local cuisines at spots like The Toasted Yolk, a place known for its welcoming atmosphere and delicious breakfast offerings. Their toasted creations and coffee gave me the perfect start to the day. A deeply moving aspect of Galveston is its remembrance of past events, such as memorials honoring those affected by historical tragedies. Walking past flags and inscriptions reminded me of the community’s resilience and spirit. For those who appreciate nature, Galveston offers opportunities for bird watching, fishing, and even dolphin spotting tours. The nearby Galveston Island State Park is an excellent spot to connect with nature away from the bustle. Whether you’re seeking relaxation on sandy beaches, engaging in water sports, or enjoying local art and history, Galveston has something to offer every traveler. missing summer extra recently ! don’t get me wrong, i loveeeee fall so much but since i live in texas, we don’t exactly have a fall like others do. i went to galveston for my #18thbday and it was great ! it did end up raining and getting pretty gloomy but, i love the rain so a win is a win. #

There is a haunted antique shop in Galveston tx called Antique Warehouse. The large 2 story building was a brothel in the 1900s called The Oleander Hotel and said to be haunted by former residents. The upstairs is many small rooms, some still decorated as bedrooms. The owner told me that they lock
