With Merit & a 3.75 GPA

Strolling @republicpoly’s stage 12 years late. From dropping out in 2012 in Pharmaceutical Science with a GPA of 1.12 to leaving today with my Diploma in Business Management (Digital Marketing and Branding) with Merit, and a GPA of 3.75 ✨

So much has happened throughout the 12 years but I’m thankful for everything that has happened. ✨

Starting with a disappointing GPA of 1.12 in Pharmaceutical Science back in 2012, I felt lost and disengaged, which led to leaving school. For several years, I drifted through jobs without finding satisfaction, and struggled personally during tough times. What truly helped was reigniting a purpose that matched my interests. After years of working various jobs and embracing life’s challenges—including becoming a mother and facing periods of uncertainty—I decided to return to school to study something I was passionate about: Digital Marketing and Branding. This decision gave me clarity and motivation. Balancing work, family, and studies was not easy, but having a supportive husband and understanding employers made a real difference. They encouraged me to pursue my diploma, which I completed with Merit and a strong 3.75 GPA—a testament to how sustained effort and the right support system can lead to remarkable achievements, even if progress is non-linear. For anyone who has felt discouraged by early academic failures or long breaks in education, know that it’s never too late to pursue your goals. Embrace your unique path, seek out what excites you, and surround yourself with people who believe in you. My story is proof that a 12-year gap is not a barrier but an opportunity for growth and renewal. Keep pushing forward, and the results will come.
