My March Reads ‘24

I have read 8 books in the month of March!!! leaving me at 23/100 books of my reading goal!!

🧛 Twilight by Stephenie Meyers | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 |Tropes: forbidden love, paranormal romance, new kid in town || Trigger Warnings: attempted murder, blood, depression, gaslighting, murder.

This book is not exactly how I remembered as I did when I read it in high school, but it felt nice to go down memory lane with re-reading this book!!

_______________________________________

💔 if he had been with me by Laura Nowlin |⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 | Tropes: childhood best friends, if we had more time, friends to strangers || Trigger Warnings: underaged drinking, pregnancy, death

This book had me an emotional wreck throughout the entire time reading this, I still get emotional thinking about it.

_______________________________________

🐺 New Moon by Stephenie Meyer | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 | Tropes: forbidden love, love triangle || Trigger Warnings: attempted suicide, depression, toxic relationship

This is my favorite book in the entire series because I love the wolves in this series!! I am more of a team jacob girly, but I forgot how whiney he is in this book

_______________________________________

✉️ Keep Me Posted by Lisa Beazley | ⭐️⭐️/5 |

I didn’t enjoy this book as much, but the letter style was very different than what I typically read so it was kind of refreshing

_______________________________________

🎂 Brithday Girl by Penelope Douglas | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 | Tropes: age gap, boyfriends dad, forced proximity, small town || Trigger Warnings: cheating, physical abuse, underage drinking, death of a friend

I could NOT get over this book!! I still think about it to this day! I am so upset I will never get to read it for the first time again :(

_______________________________________

💵 The Perfect Fit by Sadie Kincaid | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 | Tropes: MAFIA, billionaire, found family || Trigger Warnings: blood play, knife play, rape in character past , sexual assault

I randomly picked a book going into this completely blind and I was hooked after the second chapter, I could not put it down!!

_______________________________________

🪶 Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover | ⭐️⭐️/5 | Tropes: childhood friends to lovers, friends to strangers || Trigger Warnings: child abuse, kidnapping, suicide

I feel like this book wasn’t really needed.. It was basically a copy and paste of Hopeless, but I did enjoy the last chapter because it was new Sky and Dean content

_______________________________________

🤣 Funny Feelings by Tarah Dewitt | ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 |

Tropes: fake dating, single dad, work place || Trigger Warnings: absentee parent, sexual content, death of a loved one (off page)

This book took me a while to get into. I almost wanted to DNF it until I got to about half way into the book, mainly because I didn’t like the flashback chapters

... Read moreMarch is an excellent month for diving into new books, and this list showcases a range of genres and themes. For fans of young adult literature, the 'Twilight' series remains a staple with its blend of romance and paranormal elements. The nostalgia of revisiting these characters often provides a fresh perspective on their development and the story's themes. 'If He Had Been With Me' touches on heartbreaking friendships and the complexity of relationships during adolescence, evoking deep emotions in readers. Additionally, 'New Moon,' a continuation of the beloved 'Twilight' series, delves into the intricacies of love triangles. These elements are not only entertaining but also spark discussions about love, friendship, and self-discovery. Books like 'Birthday Girl' present unique plots with an age gap romance, while 'The Perfect Fit' introduces a more thrilling narrative involving mafia dynamics and personal growth amidst adversity. For readers looking to delve into emotional storytelling, 'Losing Hope' offers a raw look at mental health issues and personal struggles. Lastly, light-hearted reads like 'Funny Feelings' provide balance, bringing humor to topics of love and family. These titles resonate well with what is trending in literature today, making them perfect reads for book lovers this March.
