Sometimes the person who hurts us can see it as a trivial matter, a word, a single act, or a moment that has passed, but for the person who is being treated, it can become a scar in the heart for a long time.

The axe serves only as a tooth, it has no sense, no memory. Once it has gone down, it is ready to be lifted up and continue the tooth without ever looking back at the scar it left behind, but the tree is different. Every time it is struck, it perceives, it hurts, and it remembers. The scar may dry over time, but the trace will always remain.

In real life, too, some people may speak hard words without thinking, some may unconsciously betray or hurt others' feelings, or even consciously but unconsciously. For the doer, it may only be a bit of a passing matter, but for the doer, it may change perspective, change feelings, and change trust forever.

Words have power, actions have meaning, and people's feelings are not something that should be overlooked, because physical wounds may heal, but psychological wounds sometimes take a long time, or may never heal.

So before you talk, before you do anything to anyone, think about it, because you may forget it tomorrow, but another person may have to live with it all his life.

Choose a shade, not a scar.

Choose to be the one who heals, not the one who destroys.

Because what we do to others won't go away. It'll stay in someone's memory... forever. 🌱
