I absolutely love watching my little Frenchie, Mookee, get completely absorbed in a good TV show! While they don't perceive images exactly like humans due to their different visual spectrum, the flicker rate of modern TVs is usually high enough for them to see it as continuous motion, which is what really hooks them. It's been fascinating to observe her preferences. Beyond The Lion King, she seems to enjoy shows with clear animal characters or even just people talking in a calm, engaging tone. I do make sure her TV time is balanced, though. While it can offer some mental stimulation and companionship, especially when I'm busy, it's never a substitute for walks, playtime, and direct interaction. So, if your French bulldog also loves watching TV, here’s a little tip: try putting on nature documentaries or animated films with animal protagonists. You might be surprised by their reactions! Just remember to keep the volume at a comfortable level and ensure they still get plenty of physical activity and human connection.
