Auditioned for a Movie 🎬
A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I had a special opportunity come up but I didn’t reveal what it was. Well…here it is. 🎬
I was invited by a casting director to audition for a role in a movie 🎥. The role was for a drug dealer.
Now let’s be clear… I’m not an actor 😂. But my sons Jaelin and Tevin are, and my ex has been in that world as well 🎭.
When I received the email I immediately called Jaelin and forwarded it to him. His response was classic:
“Dad…this is more something than nothing. And honestly this would only happen to you.” 🤣
What blew my mind even more was this…
The casting team researched over 500 people and invited only 50 to audition for this role 😳🎬.
So I drove up to see Jaelin and his roommate Michael and they helped me get my slate and audition reel together 🎥. It was actually really fun and a cool experience stepping into Jaelin’s world for a minute.
Did I get the part?
Of course not.
But that’s not the point.
The point is this…
You never know who is watching 👀.
You never know what opportunities are forming behind the scenes 🎬.
They found me because I keep posting content online 📱.
More and more productions are even using real people instead of trained actors for certain roles to make things feel more authentic.
Keep posting.
Post more.
Build your brand 🧱.
Show up consistently 💪.
You never know what door might open 🚪.
I stepped outside my comfort zone, tried something new, learned something, and honestly I’d do it again.
Not because I want to be an actor… but because growth happens when you try things you’ve never done before 🚀.

Sometimes The Changing Game is simply being willing to say yes to something unexpected.
