My Son’s First Movie… This Is What The Changing Game Is All About
My Son Is in His First Movie 🎬
Watching the trailer and the interviews… this is what The Changing Game is all about.
Jaelin is still a junior at APU, but he’s already stepping into what he was meant to do.
There’s nothing better as a parent than seeing your child find their lane and go all in.
Talent is one thing… but who he is as a person is what I’m most proud of.
This is just the beginning. Tremendous things ahead.
Day by day. Brick by brick.

Watching my own child enter the film industry for the first time has been a truly transformative experience. Seeing Jaelin take on a significant role in The Changing Game not only highlights his talent but also the incredible journey of growth and perseverance behind it. The movie, which had its APU premiere at the Wynn Amphitheater, showcases contributions from notable individuals like co-directors and writers Benjamin Doerksen and Joao Castello, which adds to the film’s compelling narrative. One thing I’ve learned through this experience is that success in acting or any creative field is built day by day and brick by brick, much like what I see in Jaelin’s determination. Being a junior at Azusa Pacific University (APU) hasn’t stopped him from diving deep into opportunities that align with his passion and purpose. The support and encouragement from community and family play a huge role in helping young actors navigate their debut projects and continue to grow professionally. The Changing Game itself explores themes of resilience, survival, and emotional depth—as noted by the content seen in the film’s promotional materials, such as characters portrayed by Samuel McMillan and Brian Peveler. It’s inspiring to watch how the film brings together a diverse team behind the scenes and in front of the camera, illustrating how collaboration contributes to storytelling. For parents of aspiring actors or creatives, this story serves as a reminder to celebrate not just the achievements but who these young talents become in the process. Jaelin’s personal character is what I find most fulfilling as a dad—knowing he’s stepping into his dream with integrity and dedication. This is only the beginning of his journey, but witnessing those first steps has been a heartwarming and motivating chapter for our whole family.
