If I had to start my clean skin journey over again this is where I would start!
When embarking on a clean skin journey, many focus immediately on their facial skincare, but starting with your body's skincare can have a significant impact. The body’s skin is the largest organ and often neglected in cleansing routines. Using gentle, natural cleansers such as Castile soap made from olive oil or goat milk washes with lactic acid helps maintain skin’s natural moisture while cleansing effectively without stripping. Incorporating simpler, more transparent ingredients like oils and butters without synthetic fragrances further supports skin health. A key discovery is the avoidance of commercial perfumes, which often contain numerous undisclosed chemicals labeled simply as “fragrance” due to trade secrets. Instead, opting for natural scents like pure rose water—distilled directly from rose petals—or vanilla oil sourced from real beans offers delightful fragrances without irritating additives. From personal experience, switching to fragrance-free and transparent products not only reduced irritation but also allowed me to fully appreciate the true scent of natural ingredients. Such a routine creates a holistic and nurturing skincare approach that protects and respects skin’s delicate balance. Simplifying products and favoring transparency empowers you to be more conscious about what touches your skin, leading to a healthier and genuinely fragrant clean skin journey.
