「後付けスマートロックって危険じゃない？」って私も最初は不安でした。特に“指紋認証とパスワード両方”が使えるタイプは便利そうな反面、どっちかが破られたら…と心配になりますよね。実際に使ってみて感じたのは、危険かどうかは“設定と運用”でかなり変わる、ということでした。 まず安心材料になったのが、指紋だけに頼らず「指紋／パスコード／NFCカード／アプリ」と複数の解錠手段を持てる点です。うちは子どもが鍵をなくした経験があるので、普段は指紋でサッと開け閉めしつつ、万一のためにパスコードも設定しています。指紋が反応しづらい日（指先が乾燥してる、濡れてる、手荒れしてる等）もあるので、バックアップがあるだけでストレスが激減しました。 一方で“危険”に寄りやすい使い方もあります。例えばパスコードを誕生日や「1234」みたいに推測されやすいものにすると一気にリスクが上がります。私は桁数を長めにして、家族でも覚えやすいけど他人に当てられにくい並びにしました。子どもに教える場合も、学校の友だちにうっかり言ってしまう可能性を考えて「子どもには指紋メイン、コードは親が管理」みたいに役割分担すると安心です。 便利だったのは、専用アプリで「施錠中／解錠済み」が確認できたり、解錠の履歴が見られること。外出中に“閉めたっけ？”が減りました。さらに、設定で「常に有効」にしておく項目や、ツインロックモード（2段階ロックの考え方）など、家の運用に合わせて見直すと体感の安心度が上がります。 指紋がうまく読み取れない時の対策としては、登録時に同じ指を複数回・角度を変えて登録するのがおすすめです。端末によっては「指紋情報の補足」を追加できるので、乾燥する季節に反応が悪い人はここを増やすと安定しやすいです。 最後に、いちばん大事なのは“物理鍵も念のため持つ”こと。エラーや電池切れはゼロにできないので、私も外出時は鍵を携帯しています。指紋認証とパスワード両方に対応していると「便利」と「安心」を両立しやすいので、鍵っ子家庭や共働き家庭ほど相性がいいなと感じました。
