Everything Glow-Up Guide For 2025

get ready to spend the next year glowing up, no excuses! i always struggle with getting myself to do these types of things, and I'm hoping I'll inspire some people to finally get their lives together lol! (bc i know i sure need it)

Glowing up isn't just a physical change, it's mental and emotional as well! Don't overwhelm yourself and try to do all of these things at once, it'll never work. Write down everything YOU need and want to do (like i did in the second pic). You can use my pic as an example and feel free to change whatever you want. For me this app is an opportunity to record my progress and maybe even encourage others get where they need to be!

Examples for creating your personal glow up guide:

---Skin(face and body)---

- Create skincare routines for morning and night. find out what products work for you. make sure to actually stick to them! it's ok if your routine isn't the best the first time you try it out, change it if you need!

- Wash your fave twice a day

- Exfoliate your face and body once a week

- Lotion! Especially after exfoliating and shaving

- Shave once a week. you may need to shave more often or less and that's fine! Once a week is just my preference, again personalize this list in any way you want

- WATER!!! staying hydrated helps out your skin SO much

---Physical Health---

- Stretch daily

- Exercise often

- Create exercise routines based off of your needs and wants

- Eat healthy when you can. It's ok to eat some fast food every now and then, don't demonize it. When you can, eat something healthy. Try to eat all the food groups every day and fill up your plate with green veggies!

- Vitamins!

- 3 meals per day

- Snack less. for me snacking is a big problem lol, so I'm trying to avoid it

- WATER!!! again being hydrated is just so good for you

---Mental Health---

- Journal daily. let out those feelings

- Build healthy habits and leave bad ones

- Meditate!

- set goals and reach them. plan out the steps you can take to reach your goals

---Academics---

- create a study schedule (and stick to it)

- read more! even if you're reading fiction, it helps your brain

- write down upcoming events/tests

- gets lots of sleep. you NEED sleep for your brain to function

- take breaks. don't overwhelm yourself it'll just lead to burn out

---Other Things---

- lip scrub weekly. using a lip scrub makes such a big difference. follow up with a good chapstick or Vaseline

- slowly build up your wardrobe. finding your style and wearing clothes you love makes your SO much more confident it's crazy

- wash hair once a week. how often you wash your hair depends on the person so don't worry about this too much! stick to a schedule, however often it is. shampooing twice makes such a big difference

For skin, beyond washing twice a day, consider adding a weekly mask tailored to your skin type. I've found that using a hydrating body lotion like eos lotion immediately after showering really locks in moisture, making a huge difference. For hair, a simple pre-shampoo oil treatment once a week can transform its health. Physically, if hitting the gym feels daunting, start with a 15-minute walk daily or follow a quick YouTube stretch routine. It’s about building momentum. And hydration? Keep a cute water bottle nearby – it’s a constant reminder to sip throughout the day! Setting a robust 'glow up goal' is crucial. Instead of just saying 'I want to be healthier,' try making it SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
