Five-Star Review: Still Trappin’ Through the Snow
Book two did not disappoint! This time, we follow Khrome as he navigates grief and fatherhood after Milan’s tragic passing. With Khemani being so young, the adjustment was both easier and harder—easier because she had no choice but to adapt, but harder because he knew she still needed her mother. Thankfully, with his family and Selyse by his side, he was able to pour love into his daughter the way she deserved.
Then there was the bombshell of Koya. The brothers welcomed her in, but Gina? Gina welcomed Koya into the family, but accepting what she represented was a different story. Finding out that Duke, the man she believed was completely devoted to her, had stepped out and fathered a child was a hard truth to swallow. Still, she handled it with grace, proving that even through heartbreak, she could rise above it. In a way, it gave her the push she needed to finally start living for herself—and it was long overdue.
Kavalli’s growth in this book was everything. Watching him mature from a hothead into a man who could love Dreeya in a healthy way had me smiling every time they popped up. Their journey from toxic to solid was one of my favorite parts.
And Krypt? He truly found his purpose. Seeing him unknowingly mentor a teenage boy and realizing the impact he could have on others was such a full-circle moment for him.
In Still Trappin’ Through the Snow, the brothers went from single to locked in, and the way they stepped up for the women they loved made the journey even better. This series just keeps getting better, and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough!
