I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!! This book will forever be my most favorite Beauty and the Beast Retelling!! PLEASE PLEASE GO READ THIS BOOK!!! I swear I loved this book so much!! I absolutely loved Mira and Dante (the beast) together. But I have to say one of my most favorite side character has to be Jasper. I swear he makes me laugh so much. I swear I have never cried so much over rocks. (You will get this reference once you read the book.) ugh I swear I cried like a baby at the end of the book especially after what almost happened to Dante.

... Read moreOkay, fellow bookworms, let's talk about more than just the incredible story of 'The Coveted and the Cursed' by Lylah Taylor – let's dive into the world around this amazing book that makes it even more captivating! I know I gushed about Mira and Dante, but there's so much more to appreciate when you look at the bigger picture. First off, have you heard about the author, Lylah Taylor? Her journey is as fascinating as the fantasy worlds she creates! Originally hailing from Singapore, she’s now based in the UK and has rapidly gained a reputation for her gripping narratives and intricate world-building. Knowing a bit about an author's background often adds a deeper layer to their storytelling, don't you think? It gives you a sense of the diverse influences and perspectives that might shape their creative process. Lylah Taylor’s dedication to crafting expansive series, like 'The Cursed Kingdom,' of which 'The Coveted and the Cursed' is the thrilling first installment, is truly remarkable. For those of you who appreciate a well-developed series arc, you'll be delighted to know there's more to explore beyond this initial book. Many fans also recognize her talent from other works, perhaps even the evocative 'The Betrayed Princess Rising' novel, which further showcases her prowess in creating strong, complex female leads and weaving together immersive magical realms. It’s clear she has a gift for building entire universes for us to get lost in. And can we talk about the *covers*? Seriously, 'The Coveted and the Cursed' cover art is an absolute masterpiece in itself. When I first saw it, I was immediately drawn in – it just screams 'epic fantasy'! The dark background, that striking large red rose, intertwined with mysterious black roses, and a prominent sword – it perfectly encapsulates the 'cursed beauty' theme that runs deep throughout the story. It’s not just a pretty picture; it’s a visual promise of the darkness, the romance, and the profound challenges Mira and Dante are destined to face. These 'cursed book covers' truly set the tone, hinting at a tale of both enchantment and peril, which Lylah Taylor delivers on every single page. It’s designed to intrigue, spark curiosity, and it definitely works its magic! This book isn't just another 'Beauty and the Beast' retelling; it's a testament to Lylah Taylor's exceptional ability to take a familiar concept and imbue it with fresh magic, high stakes, and unforgettable characters that burrow into your heart. If you're searching for a fantasy series that will sweep you off your feet, with an author who consistently delivers richly imagined worlds and compelling plots, then stepping into 'The Cursed Kingdom' is an absolute must. The way she intricately weaves the 'curse' into the very fabric of the narrative, making it feel ancient, powerful, and profoundly impactful, is just brilliant. You'll find yourself completely immersed from page one, just like I was, crying over rocks and rooting for every single character through every twist and turn. Dive in – you absolutely won't regret embarking on this incredible adventure!
