LOVELY BAD THINGS BOOK REVIEW:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🌶🌶🌶🌶.5

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!! I received this as an ALC!! I absolutely loved the banter between Halen and Kallum. Halen testified against Kallum in the beginning of the book. Then on another case she asked her boss Aubrey if Kallum could help her.

The narrators Lucy Rivers and Sebastian York did ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I loved their voices so much!! They brought Halen and Kallum to life.

... Read moreHey bookworms! You know how much I raved about "Lovely Bad Things" by Trisha Wolfe in my initial quick review, but I've been getting so many questions about it, especially regarding the infamous spice level and what makes the audiobook so special. So, I wanted to dive a little deeper and share more of my thoughts on this incredible read that became an instant favorite! Let's Talk Spice: My 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 Take! When I say "Lovely Bad Things" brings the heat, I mean it! That 4.5 spice rating is well-earned. This isn't just a touch of steam; it's a full-on, intense, and deliciously dark romance that doesn't shy away from explicit scenes. What I particularly loved is how the spice isn't gratuitous; it's deeply entwined with the characters' complex relationship and emotional development. The tension between Halen and Kallum is palpable from page one, and the intimate moments only amplify their twisted dynamic. If you're looking for a dark romance with high stakes, undeniable chemistry, and scenes that will leave you fanning yourself, this book absolutely delivers. Prepare for a ride that’s as emotionally charged as it is physically intense. Unpacking the Story: More Than Just Romance Beyond the spice, the plot of "Lovely Bad Things" is genuinely captivating. The premise, where Halen testifies against Kallum only to later need his help, sets up a fantastic enemies-to-lovers (or perhaps rivals-to-lovers) dynamic. Kallum, described by the tagline I saw on the cover as "the devil," is exactly the kind of morally grey anti-hero I adore, and Halen is a strong, resilient protagonist who holds her own. The story is part of Trisha Wolfe's 'Hollow's Row Series,' which means there's a rich, interconnected world and overarching mystery to get lost in. The suspense and psychological elements kept me guessing, making it impossible to put down. It's a journey into complicated trusts and undeniable attraction. The Audiobook Experience: A Must-Listen! As an audiobook enthusiast, I can't stress enough how phenomenal the audio production for "Lovely Bad Things" is. Lucy Rivers and Sebastian York truly outdid themselves. Their performances weren't just readings; they became Halen and Kallum. Lucy Rivers perfectly captured Halen’s vulnerability and strength, while Sebastian York brought Kallum's dark, brooding intensity and hidden depths to life with an incredible range. Hearing their banter and the emotional depth of their interactions through these narrators added such a rich layer to the story. The pacing was perfect, and their voices created an immersive experience that made me feel like I was right there with the characters. If you're pondering between reading or listening, I wholeheartedly recommend the audiobook – it's an elevated experience. Why Trisha Wolfe Shines in Dark Romance Trisha Wolfe has a unique talent for crafting intricate, dark, and utterly consuming romances. She masterfully blends psychological suspense with intense emotional journeys, making her characters and their dilemmas incredibly compelling. Her writing style is evocative, pulling you into the shadowy world of Hollow's Row and keeping you invested in every twist and turn. "Lovely Bad Things" is a prime example of her ability to create complex relationships that challenge conventions and deliver a powerful, unforgettable story. If you're new to her work, this book is a fantastic entry point into her distinctive style. In conclusion, "Lovely Bad Things" is so much more than just a spicy read; it's a well-crafted dark romance with a gripping plot, unforgettable characters, and an audiobook performance that elevates the entire experience. If you love intense chemistry, morally grey heroes, and stories that keep you on the edge of your seat, add this to your TBR list immediately!
