🃏 The book is divided into three big chapters, 'Cards, Mist, and Blood,' the first two chapters gradually tell the story of the kingdom and the character's likeness, both the spindle family side of the heroine, 'Ellspeth,' the Yew family side of the hero's side, 'Revin,' and the 'Rowan' king family, which is the hero's cousin, and also other characters such as' Ioni, 'Ellspeth's cousin whose turn of fate has been so staggering!

ถ้ากำลังชั่งใจว่าจะเริ่มอ่าน One Dark Window ดีไหม (หรือเล็งหานิยายแฟนตาซีปกสวยๆไว้สะสม) ขอแชร์มุมที่อ่านแล้วรู้สึกว่า “นี่แหละเสน่ห์” ของเล่มนี้แบบไม่สปอยล์ค่ะ อย่างแรกที่ทำให้เรื่องนี้ต่างจากแฟนตาซีทั่วไปคือระบบเวทมนตร์ “ไพ่แห่งโชคชะตา” ไอเดียมันโกธิคมากและจำง่าย: ไพ่แต่ละใบให้พลังบางอย่าง แต่ไม่มีอะไรฟรี ทุกการใช้เวทมนตร์มีค่าตอบแทนเสมอ อารมณ์เหมือนทำสัญญากับอะไรสักอย่าง ทำให้เวลาตัวละครจะใช้พลัง เราลุ้นไปด้วยว่าเขาจะยอมเสียอะไร แล้วยิ่งอ่านยิ่งรู้สึกว่าโลกนี้มัน “มืด” แบบมีเหตุผล ไม่ได้มืดเพื่อให้เท่อย่างเดียว ส่วนบรรยากาศของอาณาจักรที่โดนหมอกพิษคลุมตลอดเวลา เป็นอีกจุดที่อ่านแล้วเห็นภาพชัดมาก หมอกที่ทำให้เลือดเป็นสีดำ + ได้พลังบางอย่าง แต่ถูกตามล่า/ประหาร คือพล็อตที่ดึงความดราม่ากับความระทึกออกมาได้ดี และเป็นพื้นหลังที่เข้ากับคำว่า Dark Fantasy จริงๆ ถ้าถามว่าเป็น Romantasy ไหม—สำหรับเราคือ “มีเส้นโรแมนซ์ที่หวานแบบผู้ดี” มากกว่าเน้นฉากหวือหวา ความสัมพันธ์ค่อยๆขยับ มีแรงดึงดูดและความไว้ใจเป็นแกนหลัก ใครที่ไม่ชอบ NC หนักๆน่าจะอ่านสบาย เพราะเสน่ห์มันอยู่ที่เคมีและสถานการณ์บีบคั้นมากกว่า ในมุม “จังหวะการเล่าเรื่อง” สองช่วงแรกจะเป็นการปูโลก ปูตระกูล ปูการเมืองในวัง และค่อยๆพาไปรู้จักตัวละครสำคัญหลายฝั่ง บางคนอาจรู้สึกว่าช้า แต่ข้อดีคือเราจะเข้าใจแรงจูงใจและความสัมพันธ์ได้แน่น พอถึงช่วงท้ายจะรู้เลยว่าการปูทั้งหมดมีความหมาย แล้วตอนเร่งเครื่องคือวางไม่ลงจริงๆ สำหรับคนเสิร์ชเรื่อง “ปกนิยายแฟนตาซี” บอกเลยว่าฉบับไทยทำออกมาดีมาก โทนโดยรวมเข้ากับ Gothic style สุดๆ ถ่ายคู่กับกาแฟลาเต้หรือพร็อพสีเข้มๆแล้วสวย มีฟีลสะสมและเหมาะกับสายถ่ายรูปรีวิวหนังสือมาก ทริคเล็กๆก่อนเริ่มอ่าน: ถ้าต้นเรื่องมีชื่อคน/ตระกูลเยอะ แนะนำคั่นหน้าตัวละครหลักไว้ หรือจดว่าใครอยู่ฝั่งไหนนิดนึง จะช่วยให้ช่วงปูเรื่องไหลลื่นขึ้นมาก แล้วพอเข้าสู่บทท้ายจะอินกว่าเดิมค่ะ
