🚨 Four time thieves from The ONE Thing.
I've been facing a hard time shortage lately.
Can't do anything. Grab that one a little bit. This one a little bit alternately.
I started to feel that this wasn't right, that I should have achieved good results in everything I did, and that I didn't do well.
Until one evening, I stopped by the bookstore to find help.
Walked around for a long time until coming across this bright yellow book
"The ONE Thing."
The content inside immediately solved the mystery of my lost time.
What I want to tell you today is what I found with myself.
And it matches the "four time thieves" written in the book.
1) Deny Not Being (I'm a Mr. Yes Man)
Personally, I'm the one who has a problem asking for help. I usually respond immediately.
One part is because of the habit of doing new things, like solving problems, but the other part is that deep down, we want to be dependent and feel useful.
But accepting every request is the same as rejecting something at the same time.
Because we have the same 24 hours, we can't do everything in the most efficient way.
It says, "Answering one request is equal to rejecting the remaining 100 requests."
Choose what others ask for. We have to exchange it for refusing requests.
Sometimes...We may have to deny someone else's story to take responsibility for our most important request.
2) Don't accept chaos.
This one I read particularly because I personally don't like chaos.
But often I have to go into Deep Work or Flow State, concentrating on a job for a long period of 3-4 hours.
When I got up, I would experience every disturbance, because there were many other tasks waiting to be done, but we had no time left (because we focused on the one job that was thought to be the most important).
My life was stuck like this for a while (now it still is).
The author suggests, let's just admit it, because when we focus on one thing at all, the other things get less time.
This is an inevitable reality. Our time is the same, depending on what we choose to apply it to.
Accept the fact that chaos must occur because you have chosen to focus on what really matters to you.
3) Dedicated to everything at the same time
Our energy is limited physically and spiritually.
When I try to focus on everything at once, it's like a marathon runner hitting a wall.
I ran out of energy to start again until I had to take a break from every goal, come back and stay still.
"What are the goals we really value the most?"
A good allocation of energy will help make life lighter and more comfortable.
You have to choose a target, and the alley descends from a distant point to today's action.
"What is the only thing I can do today to achieve my future goals?"
Ask this question often, and you can start allocating energy to really important things better.
4) Be in the midst of an environment that doesn't promote you.
I was in a very depressing, negative environment and invisible to the light.
It began to devour and fuse into my thoughts and attitudes.
Fortunately, I decided to step out of that space into a completely different space.
When I read the book on this topic, I very much agreed.
The environment really affects our attitudes.
If you want the goal to succeed,
Put yourself in an environment where only people are ready to grow.
It's not an environment that keeps pulling our energy and confidence down.

จากประสบการณ์ที่ผมได้อ่านและลองปรับใช้กับชีวิตจริง พบว่าการจัดการกับหัวขโมยเวลาทั้ง 4 ประการนี้เปลี่ยนแปลงคุณภาพชีวิตและงานของผมได้อย่างมาก อย่างแรก การไม่ปฏิเสธคำขอช่วยเหลือในทุกเรื่องทำให้ผมเคยถึงจุดที่รู้สึกว่าเวลาหมดไปกับสิ่งที่ไม่สำคัญจริงๆ ผมจึงเรียนรู้ที่จะวิเคราะห์และจัดลำดับความสำคัญมากขึ้น บางครั้งการพูดว่า "ไม่" เป็นสิ่งจำเป็นเพื่อรักษาโฟกัสและพลังงานของตัวเอง ประการที่สอง ความวุ่นวายรอบตัวเป็นสิ่งที่หลีกเลี่ยงได้ยากมากในชีวิตประจำวัน โดยเฉพาะในสังคมยุคดิจิทัล ผมเลือกที่จะยอมรับว่าเมื่อทำงานสำคัญอย่างเข้มข้น ก็จะมีเรื่องอื่นรออยู่เสมอ วิธีของผมคือกำหนดช่วงเวลาปิดการแจ้งเตือน และหามุมสงบที่เอื้อให้เข้าสู่สภาวะจดจ่ออย่างแท้จริง ข้อสาม การทุ่มเทกับทุกเรื่องพร้อมกันทำให้ผมหมดแรงและประสิทธิภาพตก จากนั้นผมเริ่มตั้งเป้าหมายใหญ่เป็นขั้นตอนย่อย เพื่อทำทีละเรื่องอย่างมีสมาธิและไม่ชะล่าใจ ทำให้ผลงานแต่ละส่วนมีคุณภาพและช่วยลดความเครียดลงได้มาก สุดท้าย สภาพแวดล้อมมีผลต่อความคิดและพฤติกรรมอย่างมาก เมื่อผมอยู่ในสภาพแวดล้อมที่เต็มไปด้วยความลบและคนที่ไม่ส่งเสริมมีแต่ทำให้ท้อใจ การเปลี่ยนไปอยู่กับกลุ่มคนที่มีความคิดบวกและมุ่งมั่นเหมือนกันช่วยให้ผมเติมพลังและได้รับแรงบันดาลใจในการเดินตามเป้าหมายของตัวเองมากยิ่งขึ้น การสังเกตและตระหนักถึง 4 หัวขโมยเวลาเหล่านี้ในชีวิตจะช่วยให้เราปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรม จัดการเวลา และพลังงานได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น ผมแนะนำว่าทุกคนควรอ่านหนังสือ The ONE Thing เล่มนี้เต็มๆ เพราะนอกจากจะแจกแจงปัญหาอย่างละเอียดแล้ว ยังเสนอแนวทางแก้ไขที่เป็นประโยชน์และเหมาะกับการนำไปใช้ในชีวิตจริงด้วยครับ
