Books turning into movies or tv shows

... Read moreIt feels like every week I'm hearing about another one of my favorite books getting an adaptation! It's such a thrill, but also a little nerve-wracking, right? You just want them to do the book justice. Speaking of which, I'm absolutely buzzing about 'The Love Hypothesis' movie! Ali Hazelwood's book is just so iconic, and knowing Bisous Pictures has started filming makes it feel so real. Fingers crossed for perfect casting! But that's not the only exciting news in the adaptation world! I've been keeping a close eye on all the buzz, especially for those amazing New Adult romances that just scream 'movie potential.' Did you know that Rebecca Yarros's epic fantasy, 'Fourth Wing,' is getting a TV series adaptation on Amazon Prime? I can't even imagine how they'll bring those dragons to life on screen, but I'm here for it! And for all my Elle Kennedy fans, 'The Deal' has also been picked up by Amazon Prime for adaptation. This is HUGE news because her books are so popular, and seeing them come to life will be incredible. I've also heard that 'Girl Abroad' by Elle Kennedy has rights acquired for a TV show – Elle Kennedy is really having a moment! And let's not forget Ana Huang! Her 'Kings of Sin' series and 'Twisted Love' are also on the adaptation radar. While 'Twisted Love' is unconfirmed if it's a TV series or movie, just knowing it's in the works is exciting. And there's even talk of a 'Reckless' TV series by Lauren Roberts after that GMA interview. It's truly a golden age for book lovers! If you're like me and constantly searching for 'books that are turning into movies' or 'new book 2026' with adaptation potential, keeping up can be a full-time job! My advice? Follow the production companies (like Bisous Pictures or Amazon Prime Video), author social media accounts, and dedicated book-to-screen news sites. They're often the first to drop hints or official announcements. It’s also fascinating to see how they adapt 'comic adaptation' styles to bring novels to life. What other 'series like after' would you love to see adapted next? I'm always looking for recommendations!

I’m always so skeptical of books to movies. I usually never enjoy them. I would rather they be turned into shows. In my mind, they can add in more from the books when they can span it over multiple episodes. 🤷🏻‍♀️
