My good reads reviews of 2025

I’m just a girl who STRUGGLES to post book reviews on goodreads so I thought it would be good to start holding myself accountable by posting some reviews here!

Some of these books I’ve read previously but just know found motivation for writing a review lol

and also I don’t give every book I read 5 stars but these books just happened to be all 4/5 stars LOL

Do you still post book reviews on goodreads? Sometimes it’s just really hard for me to sit down and write a review but when it’s posted and written I feel accomplished lol

... Read moreI know I mentioned how hard it can be to sit down and actually write out those Goodreads reviews, but honestly, sharing my favorite reads makes it all worth it! For me, 2025 is already shaping up to be an incredible year for books, and I’m so excited to finally put these thoughts out there. You’ve probably seen me rave about some of these before, but here are some of my top 4 and 5-star picks that I truly believe are must-read fiction and perfect book recommendations 2025 for anyone looking to dive into something new and exciting! First up, if you’re into some serious heat, the spiciest books category has been delivering! 'Promises & Pomegranates' by Sav R. Miller completely blew me away with its Hades and Persephone retelling – Kal's grumpy personality and Elena's strength were just chef's kiss, plus the fantastic spicy content earned it a 5-star rating. Then there's 'Consider Me' by Becka Mack, a sensational hockey romance that’s both spicy and emotional, featuring a reformed playboy and a delicious enemies-to-lovers dynamic. It’s got all the slow-burn angst you could ask for! And let's not forget 'Owned by a Sinner' by Michelle Heard; the chemistry and 'he hates everyone but her' trope were just too good, with plenty of spice and a solid plot. If you like dark romance with a witty edge, 'Lights Out' by Navessa Allen is a 5-star gem that blends dark rom-com vibes with hilarious POVs and fantastic spicy content. For those who love deep character development and heartwarming stories, 'Unloved' by Peyton Corinne is a beautiful 4-star read. I loved how it handled dyslexia and ADHD representation, plus the tutor trope and friends-to-lovers dynamic made it incredibly emotional. It’s truly a standout *new fiction book*. And if you’re in the mood for a cozy romance with classic tropes, 'Any Trope but You' by Victoria Lavine was a delightful enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity story with a grumpy x sunshine pairing that just worked. It's definitely one of my book suggestions 2025 for a feel-good read. And for my suspense and sports romance lovers, I’ve got some incredible picks too! 'Where's Molly' by H.D. Carlton is a dark suspense masterpiece that brings back Zade and Addie with obsessive love and unhinged twists – a quick 5-star read that kept me on the edge of my seat. And 'The Striker' by Ana Huang is a brilliant sports romance with captivating chemistry, banter, and that perfect slow-burn angst, featuring forced proximity and enemies-to-lovers. You’ll love Asher and Scarlett! Speaking of Ana Huang, 'King of Envy' is another 5-star hit, a morally grey, forbidden romance that dives deep into emotional complexity. These books are truly some of the popular fiction books right now and have been most entertaining books for me. Whether you're looking for booktok favorites or just browsing for your next read, I hope this little peek into my Goodreads community reviews helps you find something amazing. What are some of your *must read fiction books 2025*? I'm always looking for more *bookrecs*!
