... Read morePlanning a honeymoon or a romantic getaway at Hermitage Bay in Antigua & Barbuda is truly a special experience. This intimate resort’s all-inclusive approach means you can focus entirely on relaxation and connection without worrying about additional costs, which is ideal for couples wanting to unwind. One aspect I appreciated was the resort’s attention to detail—from the friendly staff who make you feel at home to the incredible local dishes like jerk chicken drum bites and fresh sushi during the sushi hour. The private plunge pools add an intimate touch, offering a perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. However, it’s worth noting that the beds and pillows might not be to everyone’s liking, so bringing a favorite pillow or requesting a room change upon arrival could help improve comfort. Also, if you enjoy warm water pools, check availability of heated pools when booking since not all villas guarantee this. The resort’s location offers wonderful opportunities for water sports including snorkeling at the nearby reefs teeming with marine life, kayaking, and paddleboarding—activities included in your stay. Just remember to bring water shoes to protect your feet from sea urchins and explore safely along the reef. Island time is a blissful concept here; time slows down and the typical rush of the day melts away. You’ll want to bring a waterproof camera to capture the vibrant gardens filled with orchids, tropical birds, and even hummingbirds. Exploring these lush grounds on foot is a highlight in itself, with plenty of photo-worthy moments. For transportation, the airport shuttle service is efficient and the improved paved roads make getting around easier and more comfortable. Enjoy live band performances in the evenings, which add a soothing backdrop to your nights at the resort. My advice is to stay for at least five nights. It allows you to fully immerse yourself in the laid-back luxury of Antigua & Barbuda while enjoying all the amenities and activities Hermitage Bay has to offer, creating lasting honeymoon memories that feel both indulgent and authentic.
