Steal my Mexico City 1-Week Itinerary! 🌮🇲🇽

I just got back from spending 8 days in Mexico City, and for first timers here’s what I recommend for one week’s worth of time!

Day 1:

Explore Centro

I recommended joining a walking tour! You’ll learn a lot about Mexico and get great tips about where to go for the rest of your stay.

Day 2:

Explore Polanco + Bosque de Chapultepec

You can’t leave CDMX without experiencing this huge park.

Day 3:

Explore Roma Nte. + Galleries

Plenty of Mexico’s most popular spots are in this trendy neighborhood. Also a great place to base yourself in while in CDMX.

Day 4:

Explore La Condesa + Casa Gilardi

The green spaces in Condesa are amazing - I recommend walking Amsterdam Avenue and Parque Mexico. This is also a good time to squeeze in a visit to Casa Gilardi which will be less than 15 mins away by car.

Day 5:

Explore Coyoacán

Frida Kahlo’s Casa Azul and visit the nearby markets too for some souvenirs.

Day 6 - 7:

Use these days to revisit or add another day or two to other neighborhoods - especially if you have museums you want to explore, speakeasies and restaurants to try, or more Luis Barragan houses to check out, you’ll surely want an extra day or two!
